regarding unbind uruforged,an idea to allow urus to remain untradeable

can we please have a way to transfer runewords? i kind of regret putting certain runewords on damage uru instead of defense ones lol. i think it fulfills the same purpose as unbinding uru forged

Also, it may solve the issue of unbinding causing uru to be trade-able , transferring still doesn't allow uru to be traded


Big Update: Love the One You're With?

This is for the sake of curiosity, but it does have some bearing on who I play in the near future.

With the Big Update coming, are players trying to play all their heroes before the switch is thrown? Or are people leaving some unplayed so that they can experience those heroes for the first time after the Update?

I have several heroes whom I have not played: Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, Taskmaster, and Nova. I'm itching to play some of them, but a part of me is saying, "Wait until the Update ... for now, play the heroes you are used to."

Just for a fun discussion.
The majority of costumes in this game are hella ugly compared to the new ones. Which costumes do you guys personally think need some TLC before others?

I'll post mine.

The most Iconic marvel character has the ugliest costume in the game. The webs are too thick and the eyes look bad. The lack of details also put the nail in the coffin (why is his head a perfect oval?)

This costume does the comic costume no justice at all, he looks like a cheap action figure of hawkeye. If this costume looked good i'd probably play hawkeye more.

It kinda bothers me that widow's avengers outfit wasn't updated before her classic outfit. It looks just as bad as the classic used to. Now i could get over that if this was a cheap outfit to buy from the store, but nope this one comes with the character. Making the visual update kinda pointless because this is the widow most players will use. (You could say the same thing for Cyclops' VU but tbh the astonishing outfit doesn't look absolutely horrible in-game IMO).

This costume doesn't look as good as it should imo. The whole suit (even the coat) has a rubbery texture over it and the hair is way too short. In the comics Gambit has longer hair (kinda like the wiccan costume for SW). Also the colors are all off and it's missing a lot of details that would be true to the costume from the comics. What bothers me is that this costume looks nothing like the picture they based it off of, which actually looks really good.

This costume could look so much better, it's kinda an ugly costume to begin with but the blockiness of it all makes it worse. If the hair was made to look better, the face made to look less like a barbie doll and some new textures were slapped on the costume this would look way better. Scarlet witch is a major character in the MCU now so I think she should be one of the first to get an update.

As it been said if we will automatically get the default costume even if it is no longer in our inventory. I have a couple of heroes I blendered the default and I hope I dont lose the costume because of that.

Initially it was just a SG thing but then I thought just because you are in the church doesn't mean that there aren't other people you enjoy playing with.

Therefore we are opening it up to everyone. That way each member can play with whoever they want.

Starting January 9th until January 16th get any 5 yahoos you want. Screen cap or video to prove your highest wave of X-defense. In case of a tie the same teams will run again to determine an ultimate winner.

Team winners will receive a costume of their choice that is currently available in store.

question about rare uniques

hi guys,

the last 2 hours I've been cleaning out all my stash tabs (turning uniques into credit chests etc etc) ... and now i am at my final 4 stash tabs.. those 4 contain the rare uniques (coat of skull, skrull hammer/uniform, batrocs etc)..

is there any need for them now (upcoming big update) or can i just turn them into credit chests ?

i know new items are in sight, but i just want to make sure i am not getting rid of something i might still need.

Character Design: Can Someone Explain This to Me?

I hate to mention this, but I'm hoping someone at Gaz might explain to me the challenges of MH's graphics, for example, the distinct difference between this(below), and this (right).

What are the limitations that prevents Gaz from making heroes that actually look smooth and comic book accurate? Is it the game engine that limits the designers or the graphic software that Gaz uses? Or are there any other factors contributing to the poor graphics?

[New Hero Suggestion] - Shocker

@azrather have thrown three to four names for the blank sections of "Add hero ___ ". From those I liked Shocker the most and he also was one of the characters I have seen that people want to have in the game. I mean as pleayable hero not as someone who is a part of "defeat in 20s in terminal" achievement. There is not much to Shocker. Engeener criminal who wanted to rob safes without harmin people, but that part of life ended after prison and after meeting Spider-man. Besides his suit he have nothing. He isn't genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. He have low self esteem and even though he is powerful and dangerous in his suit that can kill with ease and shake down subway tunnels - at time he is a treated as a joke. So here with no laugh and total seriousness I present Shocker.

This guy that he dispatched in a second is Punisher

Introduction

Early Life
Herman Schultz's parents died when his younger brother, Marty, was a boy. Schultz was usually involved in theft or extortion; a typical day in the life of the Shocker would find him knocking over armored cars or trying to hawk items he previously stole. On one particularly ambitious day, the Shocker held New York City for ransom when he blacked out portions of the city to spell out his criminal moniker, then threatened to black out the entire city unless he was paid one million dollars. On another he terrified a stockbroker into playing the market, for substantial monetary gain.

Shocker
Schultz, after serving several prison terms for robbery, built a battle suit that sent out shock waves to quickly open safes as well as give himself a one-up on the authorities. The Shocker had the ability to shock his enemies with his hand held vibro-shock units, but because the vibrations were so fierce, he wore a heavily insulated suit. During his first outing as the self-styled "Shocker" he ran into and defeated Spider-Man (albeit the hero was suffering a broken arm at the time) who became Schultz's nemesis. Early on in his career Shocker often acted as either a thief or subordinate to more prominent mob bosses such as Silvermane.

Masters of Evil
The Shocker became a member of the Masters of Evil with Radioactive Man, Tiger Shark, Moonstone, and the Beetle to incriminate Dr. Henry Pym, who was then on trial for treason. Unfortunately they were defeated by the Avengers. The Shocker was later hired by the Nazi war criminal Baron Von Lundt to kill Dominic Fortune, and built the vibro-shock units into his entire uniform to do so.

Skills and Gadgets

Engineer: The Shocker is a gifted, and apparently self-taught, engineer who built his battle suit from scratch in a prison workshop. He is also the (self-proclaimed) world's best safe-cracker.

Vibro-Shock Gauntlets: The Shocker has two vibro-shock units that, when activated by a thumb trigger, can project a concentrated blast of air that has been vibrated at an intense frequency. This allows the Shocker to both effectively throw long range vibrational punches, as well as vibrating the structure of something in order to weaken or destroy it. Holding the thumb triggers down for an extended period of time increases the intensity, speed, and even spread of the air blasts. The vibro-shock units were created to open safes by "shaking" them open silently and quickly. Shocker also has a vibrational shield that deflects blows to him & allows him to slip from many a grasp. The feedback from the Shocker's gauntlets is extremely intense (the initial test almost killed him.) To guard himself from this, Schultz developed a protective costume consisting largely of yellow quilt patches designed to absorb the shock. The vibro-shock units can add power to his punch via a trip-hammer vibration shock, making his blows a dozen times more potent than normal.

At one point, the Shocker upgraded his equipment so that his vibro-shocks came from micro-circuitry emitters throughout the costume, so that he was no longer dependent on the gauntlets for his powers. He continued to wear the gauntlets as a deliberate ruse against Spider-Man and other heroes, leading them to think the gauntlets were still his Achilles' heel. Other upgrades over the years boosted Shocker's overall abilities, or provided new ones such as flight. Shocker has repeatedly gone back to his original power levels and gauntlets, however, implying that these upgrades were unstable or expensive to maintain. [My addition – which with Shield backup and few eggheaded heroes stoped being a problem.]

Power Trees

  • Vibro Fighting
    By vibrating his gauntlets Shocker can augment his strenght by a dozen times. He was able to knock down Luck Cage and give She-Hulk a hard time not to mention overpowering Spider-Man. In this tree we have more direct aproach to shocker fighting with punches that knockback, knockdown, shake ground around him or destroy single enemy from the inside.

  • Shock Trooper
    Vibrations of air at just right frequencies traveling through space hit enemies as a concusive force or pierces them vibrating their bodies. Shocker can also shoot the ground to make it shake or deform.

Two powers have two step charge instead of normal one step charge that gives power two potential effects. This one stops a bit in the middle then goes again to the end making the power that have three effects. Default >50% at 50% < but >100% have additional effect and bigger effect at 100%.

Shocking Punches Melee lvl 1

  • This Shock Gauntlets let me punch with dozen times my normal strenght.
    Medium-slow speed attacks. Heavy punches looking like each one would be the last punch.

  • Shocker is comming through!
    Vibrating your whole suit you dash knocking enemies away. Pretty big cusshion of vibration make for wide line of what dash affects.

Double handed shock Melee

  • Fists starting at your belt shoot out to hit together with acumulated force. When they hit the area of hit is bigger than the range of hit due to vibrations. Slow attack speed.

Hand's on the ground! Melee, Area

  • You see mister police man. You should have ask me for hands in the air.
    Hit the ground around your feet casuing a shockwave around you that knocks down enemies. Medium-Slow attack speed.

Gauntlet Powered Jump Melee, Movement, Area

  • Here's a new trick for ya'.
    Prepere yourself like for huge upward leap and with the help of your gauntlets shoot yourself up to land in the target area with a tremor. Charged. When taped it's used like normal jump power.

    At 50% charge:
    +X% dmg
    Bigger area
    At 100% charge:
    +X% more dmg
    Even Bigger area

Shock to the core Melee

  • Something personal to remember me by ... in your obituary.
    Put a hand on your enemy with vibrations you were increasing beforhand and start sanding it through whole his body. This kind of power should liquify human entrails. Single target attack.

    +X% dmg if enemy is vulnerable
    +X% dmg if enemy is weakend
    Small cooldown

Vibrating Fist Melee, Area

  • Watching that kung fu guy with his fists "like unto iron" gave me some ideas.
    Wind up a powerful punch with fully loaded gauntlet. Enemy you hit take the brunt of the damage but vibrations shoot through him damaging other enemies in a wide line.

    Dmg X in line behind target
    Cooldown

Omnidirectional Shock Signature, Melee, Area

  • Gauntlets are only to fool enemies that I have a weakness and my powers can be taken so easly from me. Now here's the power of my whole suit.
    [Animation: Gather yourself like you would want break chains surrounding you and then expand like you would succeed in doing so] From whole of your body a giant amount of energy hits all enemies around you sending them flying. All projectiles in the air are sent back with a force to their senders.

    Dmg X projectiles sended back
    50% dmg reduction when you gather energy
    Knockback strong
    Cooldown

It would of course look much more epic to deserver to be a signature

Shock Trooper

Vibration Bullets Basic, Ranged lvl 1

  • Send your vibrations punches like bullets throught the room.
    Medium attack speed, piercing, chest wide projectile.
    Dmg X each next enemy after first take less dmg.
    Chance for stun

Finger on the trigger Ranged, Area

  • Full throttle punks!
    Holding your finger on the trigger you channel wave of vibrations that keep geting more and more intense. Long narrow-medium cone. +X% dmg every 1s, +X% spirit cost every 1s. Effects of hit are applied after 1s of hitting the target.: After 1s it causes weaken, After 3s it causes slow to movement and attack speed, After 5s it leaves lasting damage.
    Dmg X 2/s +X% every 1s
    Weaken - after 1st second
    Slow - after 3rd second
    Dmg X2/s -lasting dmg - after 5th second

Vibro barrage Ranged

  • Taste the vibrations.
    Shoot repeatedly fast flying, small bursts of vibration that shock enemies to the core. Piercing. Very-Fast attack speed [9-12/s] Holding two extended in front of yourself move them shaking like you would shoot two big guns or use a jackhammer.

    Vulnerability

Shake the ground Ranged, Area

  • Time for a little dance.
    Gather vibrations inyour hands and shoot them into target area for 0,5s causing it to shake after that. Quite long animation make this a slow attack.

Vibroflight Travel Power

  • Sending steady flow of vibrations you are able to hover with pretty big speeds.

    As seen up top. This amazing car can be his travel power.

Shock Bowling Ranged

  • Take a hit you damn spider. From this you won't get up.
    Animation like the Shockers main attack in game. Send a ball of vibration traveling on the ground. Very-Slow attack speed, On target contact hits in small area around.

Earth Columns Ranged, Area

  • I won't raise my hand nor my voice at you. I will raise the ground! Ups. I lied in the first sentence.
    Pick a big target area. Hold your hands to the ground sending specific patterns of vibrations into the ground. In the targetet area 5 big earth columns will apear in random places in the span of 1s [so some can shoot together, some with small increments].

    Long cooldown.

Shrapnel Cannon Ranged, Area

  • And for my next trick I will make this block of cement disapear.
    Using vibrations tear off piece of ground. You bring this heavy chunk in front of you, at the hight of your head. You take of your hands from it but before it fall you already hit it with both your hands not only breaking it with your gauntlets but also sending columns of vibrations to send the debris forward. Very-slow attack speed [due to long animation]. Damages everyone in the narrow long cone and leave them bleeding.

Ultimate

Time to shake things up! Ranged, Area

  • Time to shake things up!
    Turn your upgraded gauntlets to the maximum and after your favourite quote start sending vibrations into the ground. Ground under you starts shaking in wider and wider area with each moment knocking people down and slowing everyone in the area. Then you hover over the ground still sending vibrations. While you hover you can move and area under you deal more damage and slows even more. After you land ground is still mildly shaking and your power gauntlets are vibrating with power.
    Dmg X 2/s vibrations while you shoot the ground.
    Dmg X 2/s vibrations in smaller area underneath you – biggest
    Dmg X 2/s lasting vibrations after you stop channeling – lowest
    Knock down – until you stop shooting the ground
    Slow attack and movement speed – bigger undearneth you, lower after you stop shooting the ground
    +Melee Dmg for Xs after

[With some animation money/time: We know that it's canon in Marvel Heroes that cars come from nowhere and many skills have shown that – that's just a disclaimer. If there is something that can tople over like statues in odin palace, or something that can fall like parts of building in middtown or celling in kingpin tower it does. In more extreme version I wanted for shocker to shake down earth in a way that he bring a still speeding metro through the ground.]

Examples:

  • Shocking Punches becomes basic, instead of stun it have chance to stun. Vibration Bullets stop being basic and stuns.

  • Hands to the ground gains cooldown, have somewhat bigger area, deal more dmg and instead of knock down it have knock up with a little knock back .

  • Shock to the core becomes ranged power. You shoot single target vibraiting him brutaly to hurt heart, every vain and every bone, lungs and entrails of him. Small cooldown, not immediate hit - it have animation. Dmg over long time, same bonuses but lower dmg because it's ranged.

  • Vibrating Fist becomes Vibrating Fists You power up your gauntlets making them Sweet Christmas! additionally and start punching. Medium-Fast attack power. +X to melee dmg for Xs after using this power.

  • Vibro Barrage becomes area power shooting vibrations in a long medium wide cone. Dmg 2/s, vulnerability.

  • Shake the ground becomes channeled powere. You constantly shake a circular area under your cursor slowing enemies in that area. Dmg X 2/s

  • Shock Bowling Deals less direct dmg, additional dmg is dealt as dmg over time in that small area. Dmg X, Dmg X 2/s, Stun on the initial hit.

  • Shock Bowling becomes charged power. Not charged works similar as now but deals less dmg. Charged to 50% hits the target enemy deal more dmg in bigger area. Charged to 100% It don't explode on the first enemy but strikes up to three enemies exploding at the third or at it's max distance dealing dmg like in 50% charge and knocking down enemies it passed through and those it exploded on.

  • Earth Columns becomes melee power. You hold your hands to the ground and after a second columns of earth start bursting near you. In span of 1s five columns burst from the ground in the area around you. Dmg and Knock up. Long Cooldown. More dmg because it's melee.

Unmasked - I think it's Thunderbolts based on the pattern.

Ultimate Shocker - Two costumes. One is funky second is cool.

I tried to make him as little cooldown based as possible. To make him old school. I like mechanics but I also like simplicity from time to time. And both classic and simple guy like Shocker is a good candidate for simple :)

AP3 haters gotta hate.

I got the AP3 buyers remorse blues.

Bought a bunch of content.
For my favorite game.
But the way they do release
ya it suddenly changed.

I got the waiting for new content but instead I get a rewrite of a bunch of things I was happy with blues.
I got the I want to play the heroes I paid for but I don't think I will get them and will be too busy to enjoy them blues.

I sure it will be better
at least that's what I'm told
but half my guild quit logging in
I feel like i'm on hold

I got the oh please give us a hard date or a hero or something worth doing why we wait blues.
I got the I don't want to read a wall of text of about a system I have to learn by trial and error the first time blues.

Had to buy me new team ups
Hay man I thought I paid
Every day I get nothing
Man this is bad days

I got the I don't think I will make this mistake again I hope this gets better omg this is getting silly blues.
I got the AHHHHHHHHH no more useless events to help noobs grind to catch up to me while I just la la la la blues.

Just throwing this out there, but man would this be a cool character to have. I've envisioned a ton of things they could do with him powers wise. He also has a good chunk of lore connected to him and the larger Marvel Universe that I don't think that many casual Marvel fans know about. What do you think people? Could you get behind a Man Thing effort?

I just made a year playing marvel heroes. In the interest of humility and levity here are some bonehead moves I've made in marvel heroes thus far. What are yours?

1 I accidentally bought at least 5 blessings instead of exchanging them.
2 I accidentally made doop inspiration instead of power doop at least 4 times.
3 waited forever to do my first raid, thereby taking much longer than necessary to get upgrade recipes
4 blended some cool costumes because I never thought I'd play long enough to get those heroes, or didn't think I'd like the hero. Also I didn't think to put them on the hero instead of in my inventory. I've even bought a costume back that I once was given.
5 didn't think to do achieves on heroes I didn't own towards the gambit end of the world costume. Made the grinding take much longer.
6 would have done defense uru on a lot more heroes than I have
7 early on I didn't realize how good invuln cores were and trashed who knows how many in favor of loh
8 upgraded a lot (10 maybe) of questionable insignias to cosmic because I didn't fully learn game mechanics earlier (crit damage)

So in summary, I'm not at all mad at these mistakes, and they won't be the last. Mistakes are often the best way to learn, but I've wasted many doop runes, time and even money. Also, reading is fundamental. I could have invested more into reading a hero's power sets before I made certain decisions for them. What are some of yours? What's something you did that you would pass onto a new player as an example of what NOT to do?
