I have been on quite a few forums throughout my gaming life, and I can honestly say that I've never seen a dev who's so passionate and approachable about...well almost everything. Never tired to respond to concerns and questions regarding the game as a whole. Such a great link between the forum-goers and the company. And just an all around fun guy! :)
I have been wanting to get this off my chest for a while now, and I think with the new community manager coming and @Asros saying that he'll probably be seen here less in the future, I felt like now is the perfect moment for it.
Everything you have been doing is highly appreciated and a huuuuge gain for us and Gaz and I think I can speak on behalf of at least the majority of us when I say:

Well, RNG finally blessed me....
I get a Sentinel head after 2 weeks of farming, fullfilling a couple titles and achievements needed, then, a Fred Dawson cart drops, allowing me to get a final secret achievment for another title, so, I can finally have the purple eyes, woo!
After Power Update - Automatic Basic Power attack when out of spirit, so the left click is free.
Why this thread?
There are heroes with no spirit nor other resource to spend [Deadpool, Hulk ...]
There are heroes with powers that allow them to regenerate spirit easly and sometimes also deal dmg. [Some of them need this power in their power bar to have spirit]
And there are heroes who are spirit starved and lose dmg/ second because they have to use basic power for quite some time until the spirit replenish. They have to gear for spirit so they are narrowed in build diversity.
So some heroes don't have basics, some don't need them, some are stuck with them and it's not fair. After the first part of this topic there are further notions from the thread about spirit and powers.
We will have only 8 power slots.
One being dash/movement. So we have not too much room for manuver.
Some people use basics and they could slot them. [Maybe upgrade with talents or items]
Some people don't use basics but when there is no mana left and no second bar then it's standing in place watching.
So my proposition is:
If hero have no spirit he uses basic power with left click.
More specifically:
- If hero have only one basic power and there is no mana and we use left mouse button we activate basic power.
- If hero have two basics, one ranged one melee:
- If there is no mana and we use left mouse button we activate melee basic power.
- If there is no mana and we use shift+left mouse button we wactivate ranged basic power.
- If hero have two basic of one kind melee or ranged.
- If there is no mana and we use left mouse button we activate first one in the level progresion [or from the left if both are on lvl 1]
- If there is no mana and we use shift+left mouse button we activate second one in the level progresion [or from right if both are on lvl 1
Hero shouldn't have more than two basics but for this and maybe for what is above:
Maybe there could be a "designate basic power for left click".
This is of course all based on my assumptions about how the system will work.

To go away with basic powers but have better spirit menagement.
No spirit cost for single target spenders and basics raised to their level [giving use to exisitng animation that were rarely used]. Recomepnsing with something like more spirit cost for rest powers.
- Having bassic power to not be a burden on your powerbar and your damage output but a viable option.
Because it's about spirit menagement vs dmg vs fun of the play.
[New Hero Suggestion] - Darkhawk
@Sethatron shouted out the "guy who makes playable character suggestions" to his/hers thread. There, there was no request just a question without a question mark, "asking" about "Great Lake Avengers...Mr Immortal, Big Bertha, Flatman". In the next post there was a indication of a desire "wanna see some more Darkhawk pleads too!".
I went to check on this guys as they only were ringing bells for me and I have found almost nothing interesting for the suggestion. Two things stood out. Doorman, who will get his suggestion and Darkhawk. So we have a kid who loses family in front of him, finds a magic-space trinket that changes him in armored killing machine so he decides to be a hero. Cliche and the best thing in the same time. Without further jiber jaber, heres Hawkeye! I mean Hawkman! I mean Dark Knight ... god dammit.

Darkhawk
Introduction
Chris Powell was the teenage son of Mike Powell, a cop, and Grace Powell, a District Attorney. Following his younger twin brothers, Jon and Jason, to the abandoned amusement park across from his home, Chris discovered his father taking a bribe from mob boss Phillipe Bazin.
While trying to escape with his brothers from Bazin's henchmen, Chris discovered an amulet that transposed him into the Darkhawk armor. When his father disappeared after Chris saw him, he swore to use the Darkhawk armor as an "Edge against crime."
He often teamed up with Spider-Man. As a sometime member of the New Warriors, he befriended Speedball, Nova, and later, Turbo. During his tenure as a crime fighter he was often trying to rescue his father, mother or other family members. He developed quite a roster of enemies: he would fight villains such as Hobgoblin, Tombstone,who were seeking to take his amulet, with the later succeeding.
Amulet and Armor called Razor:
Unknown to him, this amulet was an alien artifact of a forgotten sect of Shi'ar operatives known as the Fraternity of Raptors. Razor is a sentient Raptor Armor, it was created by the Shi'ar before the rest of the universe had ever heard of Earth and so was never meant to be used by a human.
Unknown to Chris, the Darkhawk armor and amulet were connecting his mind to a stream of information and memories called the Datasong. The technology he was using was not meant for human biology, and his mind had great difficulty coping. What resulted was a period of Darkhawk's history left ambiguous, comprised of both truth and delusions.
Darkhawk came to believe a false origin of his amulet. It was something that his mind could more easily understand than the truth. He invented an alien crime lord named Dargin Bokk, who was responsible for the creation of the alien technology he was using. Then there was the Evilhawk armor, which was used by Bokk to become Darkhawk's archnemesis. None of this was true. Evilhawk was actually another configuration of Chris' own armor and a result of Chris' mind losing control.
Another effect of the stresses being put on Chris' mind was an issue with his anger. He was losing his temper more often, and this caused even more friction with his already troubled family. Eventually, his anger drove him to move out on his own.

Chris is skilled in Kendo and an unidentified branch of Karate.
Razor:
Superhuman: Strenght [bench pressing 2 tons and knocking out Venom], Speed, Durability [shrugging of energy blast and most artilery fire], Agility.
Flight, Concusion Blast from the amulet and his cannons, Energy Shield, Telescopic and ultra-red vision, Self repair when not using the suit and Stealth mode.

One of obvious things about Darkhawk are his retractable wings that he can fly with. He can also hit with them and use them as protection. This will be in this tree. Second thing is the option of the suit to change it's weaponry on demand chosing from: three claws on the right hand, single spikes on both hands, right hand turned into a cannon, two smaller cannons on both hands. One power is used to change between them, more will be explained later.Fighting Raptor
Here are powers that utilise all that armory. Stabing with spikes that leave enemies bleeding, barrage of energy bolts out of double cannons, some punching, powerful shots and triple claw action. Here also are some other functions of the suit like chest crystal that also shoots energy and there are also misiles.

This power works similar to vision change but can have from 1 to 4 options.
At the start you have only claws. Then you can enable other weapons in talent tree while you level up.
Those four and their qualities are:
- Claws: You still can punch, Can shoot them as a graple, They can transform into a drone.
- Cannon: You still can punch, Powerful single shots.
- Spikes: Punches become stabs, Dealing bleed, Single powerful stabs or really fast one.
- Cannons: You can't punch, Area attacks and fast attacks.
If you have only one weapon enabled activating this power gives you a buff for Xs and have Xs cooldwon. Buff is determined by the weapon you have.
- Claws: +Dmg, Defense
- Cannon: +Brutal hit and brut dmg +Area dmg
- Spikes: +Movement and attack speed, +Dodge, Bleed lasts longer
- Cannons: +Critical hit, +Movement speed and tenacity [more mobile], +Dmg the closer your target is.
Powers that are affected by this change will have proper information.
Powers are in order of weapons like it's listed above. So: Claws, Cannon, Spikes, Cannons.

In the time he is activated you can't use Grapling Talons; and **Claw strike* don't aply bleed but are faster slow-medium punches dealing +Dmg to bleeding enemies.

- Send ten micromisiles in front of you. They try to find different targets but if they can't they will attack the same target few times.

- Fly up and stop mid air. You shoot your laser into the ground while staying in the air. Laser follows your cursor and Darkhawk turn in the air acordingly while moving wings to stay in the same place. Laser hits in a small area.

Your hands turn into giant cannons surrounded in other cannons. On your back six big misile launchers apear. Smaller cannons around your hands shoot a spray of energy bullets. For next Xs you can target/ rotate Darkhawk and press left mouse button 4 times to shoot with the big hand cannons that make wide piercing line. In that time six misiles shoot one by one into the air and fall in random areas around you.

Upercut becomes Precise Blows medium-fast attack speed power that deal more dmg to bleeding enemies. Dmg X, +X% dmg to bleeding enemies, +Crit chance. High spirit cost.
Hand Cannon shoots a ball of energy that explodes on contact. Same attack speed, shoot fast flying projectile in a line. It explodes when it hits with nice area of effect. Dmg X
Vicous Final Stab becomes Stab them all You jump around attacking anyone around you [like Iron Fist or Spider-Man] X attacks. Dmg X. X of Attack speed gives +X% dmg, X of Movement speed gives +X% dmg. Cooldown
Energy Barrage shoots in a long medium width cone dealing dmg 2/s.
Other Powers:
Flybye you fly over target area shooting it with your chest beam and landing on the other side. You chose the area and you land on the other side in a equal distance that you were to the target. Small cooldown.
Barrel Roll becomes Spreading your wings Fly in a circle two times damaging enemies in big circular area. Dmg X, Knockdown, Cooldown.
Crystal Burst is a charged power. Dmg X, When charged to full deals +100% dmg and have slighlty wider and longer cone. Small cooldown.

I made one version of this without the armor change. Then I thought "but what if ..." and after the most work a single suggestion have costed me I made this. Whatever this is. I'm done with Darkhawk. I won't even polish this suggestion. But I still hope it cam out ok :)

Can we kill vulnerability with the new power revamp?
I am cautiously optimistic about the powers revamp and how it might change the game. One change I am hoping for is vulnerability's disappearance. @TheArtofRawr @MichaelMayhem @Asros @Chufmoney
Applying vulnerability isn't fun nor does it have a noticeable effect, it's simply 10% more DPS. It's not like a stun or confusion skill which has utility outside of damage.
Because vulnerability provides 10% more DPS, players feel obligated to apply it since it is extra damage without needing to equip extra gear. This obligation runs counter to the purpose of the new powers and talents system, being able to pick what skills you want.
When a new character arrives on TC, one sticking point is what skill has vulnerability, and players almost always want it to be a skill that is naturally a part of the rotation because everyone wants to apply vulnerability without thinking about it. Raise our base damage by 10%, lower enemy health by 10%, or even take out vulnerability with zero adjustments. I would rather not have to think about vulnerability when picking my skills.
Will Omegas earned via achivements traslate 1=1 with inifinty?
Seems they should if those achivements remain with a reward of 1 infinity.
However if those rewards are changed to something else post update then I guess it doesn't matter.
what, if any, is your card picking strategy?
same card? different every time? i've been picking the middle card every time just to be consistent. nothing good so far, just one 5% and one 10% coupon.

Suggestion for Quest Tracking
Since there is a gargantuan update in the pipe that everyone is either madly excited for or just mad about, I thought this might be a good time to implement a little functionality that would really make life easier on everyone.
Have you ever been looking at your Shared Quest list and noticed a Terminal run that you KNOW one of your heroes needs to complete for a Legendary Quest but you can't quite remember WHICH hero it is?
Wouldn't it be handy to be able to examine what Quests your hero has in his/her lists from looking at the Hero Roster instead of having to switch heroes one by one and examine each of their quests individually?
I know this won't be an easy task and UI related modifications are low on the list of to do projects but hopefully with all the other changes coming in the next few months this one could get stuck in there somehow.

Can we have a realistic timeline/update for system changes?
Just curious as to where we stand on some of this. The comments we have are few and far between, and vaugue in many cases. While understandable to a degree, an official update might be nice.
The first couple of blogs indicate that we were supposed to see some changes on the TC this month. My guess is that with the Strange Event and only 6 working days left this is going to be pushed into November?
Also Vapor indicated that dev blog 4 on the difficulty slider is still undergoing some work. Does that mean the dev blog wont be posted before some parts hit the TC or are they totally independent of each other?
There have also been a number of great questions in dev blog 3 on the infinity system that havent really be touched on. Is there a plan on that?
Finally Im sure there are some internal mile markers for each area to hit live. (Powers,Talents, Infinity, Items, Slider) Are you guys happy with progress so far? What is the realistic timeline for all the changes to hit live? 6-8 months? Longer?
[New Hero Suggestion] - Wasp
Wasp will come to Marvel Heroes 2017. One because of the movie.
Two in thread counting votes about hereos people want to see she is at the top.
I also voted for her on that list and I think she would be an awesome addition to the game. Her lines of dialogue, taunts and jokes and all that Janet offers. Besides that of course there is the beating on the bad guys as a tinkerbell with a punch and yellow beams of bioelectric fury. In one of the bests animated hero shows Avengers: Earth Mighties Heroes she kicked butt and taken names both as Janet and as Wasp. I'm hyped for this little big lady to come and here is my sketch of how she could look like. After I started and had a draft I looked at @vdyne great Wasp suggestion and I borrowed a name, a power, learned about the needle and loved the clever names that were used for the powers. So chears for the tiny whimsical heroine. Heeeeeeere's Janet!

Introduction
Early Life
Janet van Dyne was the daughter of world-renowned scientist Vernon van Dyne. Early in her life, she was a flighty, self-centered dilettante living luxuriously on her father's fortune. She had an on-and-off romantic relationship with the world-renowned soldier-of-fortune called Paladin. When an alien brought to Earth during one of her father's experiments murdered the elder van Dyne, Janet contacted his colleague, Dr. Henry Pym.
Becoming the wasp
She told Pym of her resolve to bring her father's killer to justice. Pym revealed his secret identity as Ant-Man, and Janet underwent a biochemical process involving his Pym Particles that allowed her to shrink to insectoid proportions and implanted Bio-Synthetic Wings. Furthermore, Pym outfitted her with wrist devices which allowed her to discharge blasts of compressed air that she called her "wasp's stings".
Early career
As The Wasp, Jan and Hank tracked down and defeated the murderous Kosmosian, banishing it to its home dimension. Pym and van Dyne gradually fell in love; Jan reminded Pym of his deceased first wife, Maria.Pym and van Dyne became crime-fighting partners in their costumed identities, fighting menaces like: Some heavy hitters with awesome names the Egghead, the A-Chiltarians and their robot Cyclops, the trumpet-playing criminal Trago and the Porcupine.
Begining of the Avengers
They were two of the founding members of the Avengers (along with Thor, Iron Man and The Hulk) after responding when Hank's helmet picked up Rick Jones' fateful call for help. It was, in fact, the Wasp who suggested the name "Avengers" for the group that had gathered. In a further milestone in Avengers history, Jan and the other founders (minus the Hulk) were the discoverers of the great World War II hero, Captain America, still frozen from the last days of the war. Being a fashion designer, the Wasp would become known for her frequent costume changes throughout her career as a superhero.

Powers and Skills
Size Reduction: Due to long-term exposure to Pym Particles, The Wasp could reduce herself in size, down to the dimensions of the insect from which she takes her name, roughly 1/2 inch in height. Additionally, her strength was boosted while she is at reduced size, to the extent that she can bend a one-inch diameter steel bar almost double. Her size allows her to be easily unnoticed in most cases, allowing her to become stealthy in some cases.
Bio-Synthetic Wings: Due to small implanted insect wings, the Wasp could fly at incredibly fast speeds.Her flight speed can also allow her to gain a form of superhuman reflexes and agility, being able to easily evade targets and attacks.
Wasp's Sting: The Wasp could generate powerful bio-electric blasts from her hand that have been shown to be capable of cutting through high-density structures and is able to cause extreme pain to superhumanly strong and highly durable beings.
Insect Communication and Control: Through the use of her retractable antennae, the Wasp could communicate with and control certain higher insects, in a manner similar to Ant-Man's Helmet. She rarely chose to utilize this ability, however.
Size Addition: In addition to being able to shrink, Wasp could grow significantly in size as well. The increased size comes with increased strenght and durability. Janet uses this power only in emergencies, preferring to shrink to her wasp-sized form.
Skill:
Talented Fashion Designer: Janet was a very talented fashion designer. During her early days as the Wasp, she would constantly make new costumes for herself and wear different ones for almost every new mission. Over the years her talent earned her great acclaim in the fashion world.
Skilled Combatant: Janet had adapted to a special kind of hand-to-hand combat that was created by her ex-husband Hank Pym, which takes advantage of the fighter's insect size against a much larger form and physique enabling them to strike pressure points before the opponent even realizes what happened. She was also trained in multiple martial arts and unarmed combat fields by Captain America, making her into an adept combatant.

Wasp is a tiny big avenger. When fighting most of the time she is few inches tall and bucket of fists strong. Flying like a bullet, flying fast enough to swarm enemy by herself or bounce between enemies. Sometimes she even grow bigger.Stings and Blasts
She is a Wasp. She stings. Most of the time with her bioelectric blasts, bolts and shots. Those are not the only stings as Janet similar to ant-man can controll insects and that includes wasps so another type of sting. There also can be a needle in this tree.
When out of fight for 5s wasp becomes regular size and walks. In this form she regenerates health and spirit much faster. If any power is used or she is attacked she reverts to the wasp form.

You don't actually call regular wasps to help but spider wasps called Tarantula Hawk [which sounds like a superhero]. Their sting is one of the most painful in the world. One researcher described the pain as "…immediate, excruciating, unrelenting pain that simply shuts down one's ability to do anything, except scream. Mental discipline simply does not work in these situations."
Ciruclar area is covered by swarm of wasps stinging anyone in that area.

I have to look at this problem from a perspective. Distance myself from it one might say. Then take a hughe step forward to solve it. You know, grow to towering size and stomp you. You superpowered creeps.
Grow to the height of 15 meters, as tall as six stories building. While you are growing you raise your foot in the air and when you reach full size you drop it down with full force causing masive amount of destruction and damage. Foot lands in the targeted area near you. After that you shrink back down to more comfortable size.

When you dodge or deflect you increase your damage by X for Xs. This stacks up to 15 times [with the timer of the last stack] but if you get hit it goes back to zero.
When you hit a boss 30 times your next power hits him stronger because you have enough of being ignored! +X dmg or %dmg.
Examples:
Tiny fists as long as you hold the power you attack enemies in small area around you. Fast attack speed. Dmg X, +Dodge. Barrage of punches fly to targeted enemy swarm him with punches and come back to the starting position.
Human bullet becomes Fight and flight following cursor with grater speed than normal movement do spirals hiting enemies on the way. Dmg X 4/s.
Human bullet Charged power. You flight in a straight line damaging enemies on the way. The longer you charge the further you fly [on the charge arrow there are increments so you can learn this precisely] and deal more dmg to at full +80%. Can be used immediately after. If not charged you can quickly change angles and criss cross the battle field. Dmg X
Vital Points becomes Prick a prick you take a needle twice your size and with your power and speed you stab few enemies in front of you. Normal melee cone you jump from enemy to enemy stabing in different places. Medium-fast attack speed. Dmg X, Slows enemy attack speed.
Bioelectric Discharge becomes Horizontal Ballet long dash [slower than normal dash]. Wasp spins around gracefully in the same time shooting all around with her bioelectric bolts. Wide line of attack. If button is held down Horizontal Ballet will continue with smooth transition/ animation in the new direction [to the cursor].
Barrage of Stings Instead of one cone you do two more narrow cones on oposite sides. Similar to Doom's "Technical Tyrant" – here also you can spin. Dmg X 2/s
Let it rain You fly to the target area and drop rain of stings from above and then come back from where you started.
Carousel of Bolts Spin for 2s dealing dmg X 2/s and goes to short cooldown.
Stingrays becomes Shocking speed you shoot really fasts long piercing bolts in a line. While their pierce enemies it messes with their systems and reverberates for few seconds. Dmg lingers for 2s. Dmg X, Dmg X 2/s.

I didn't want to over or under do this suggestion. Too much powers would dilute her or make those powers meh, and too little could not show her enough. This was trying to fit what is important and make the best powers. Like it maybe should be allways but she was somewhat special even though she isn't my favourite or anything like that. Maybe that's because she will be in the game next year and I hope this can help. Maybe.

imo, don't get too excited for the big update...yet!
Pro Tip: lower your initial expectations or be prepared for disappointment.
It's my understanding that the big update is not going to be an expansion style update with a single major game update at once.
Rather, the changes from the Dev Blogs are going to trickle in slowly over the next 2-3 months. I mean, there are still design discussions being had with players. Granted the core work might be done, but still...
Not only that, don't forget the myriad of bugs that are bound to come with each update!
Very soon after that, significant balancing and fixes to the core big updates.
For all those exclaiming they can't wait for the update and are going re-invest their time and money, the question is, WHEN?
Day 1 of first patch or day ##0 once it's all cleaned up, released and ready to go?
I personally can't wait for day ##0!!!!
Next Possible Heroes Costume Suggestions - Spider-Woman!
Which of these are your favourites, and are there any other costumes or looks for Spider-Woman that you'd like to see added to Marvel Heroes if she becomes playable in future?

What I see the changes leading to.
So with the simplification of these systems and the direction I see the game heading I wanted to put my prediction out there and see what you all think. These changes are all leading to a console release of the game. Which I am super excited for. Hopefully PS4 first. They want to make all the menu systems easier to access and simplified so it is easier to navigate with a controller. Plus the introduction of early controller support last year. Sorry if this has been posted before to lazy to look. let me know your thoughts.
Trying to decide what to do about upcoming costume sale given upcoming changes
My understanding is Halloween comes with a costume sale. However, with updates coming I'm debating on whether or not it will be worth my while to spend money on costume for my main since my main character may not become my main anymore.
So if I buy a costume, should I buy for my main character anyway or buy the costume I like best? What would you do?
Right now my main is Scarlet Witch who I have worked hard to gear very well. I love her Civil War costume. Characters that come very close for me are Spiderman who is my favorite Marvel character and Winter Soldier whose gameplay I love. But I have Spidey's battle damaged costume which I think is awesome. And Winter Soldier's default is already awesome to me.
