Some UI/control option requests

Option to hide other heroes' player names/supergroups/titles unless we hold down CTRL. This would help significantly with visual clutter in patrols and raids.

Option to display health bars for bosses only (the current "boss only" option still displays them for elites).

Option to make channelled area attacks (like Channeled Repulsors, Damnation, etc.) bound to left-click behave like other left-click powers and follow the target we clicked on.

Option to have the dedicated walk-to-cursor key to take precedence over other commands, allowing us to reposition while still holding left-click to maintain lock on a particular target. Prior to BUE I used dashes for this purpose but now their limited availability has made this unreliable.

Enable the controller lock-on function for keyboard users through the keybind menu. This would help further with fluidly directing our attacks towards a specific target while walking in a different direction.

Any others you guys would like to add?

It's hard to say this but I miss the Omega system

Like the title says, I miss the Omega System. I personally feel that the new infinity system is a little too bland for my taste. Like yes it's straight forward, basic and simple. But I feel like it's a little bit too simple. Put points and done. Unlike the Omega System that offers much more than just stats. They offered variety. Some even included visuals which for me was cool to have. Sure they may not all be useful nodes (LOOKING AT YOU TIPPY TOE!), but I like to play around with it just for fun.

Please tell me that I'm not the only one missing the Omega System.
P.S : I'm not saying that Infinity is bad, it's just a little too plain and boring.

bugged heroes that need to be logged in and out of the game to fix should be a bigger priority no?

i play human torch..his over heat design is bugged hardcore. its now to the point where if i zone into a place, no matter what it is. story ,patrol or terms it could happen at any time that it stays over heated. not really an issue BUT when this bug kicks into gear i lose 2 powers because they get greyed out due to the bug. switching heroes doesnt work, going to another zone doesnt work.

as seen on the picture..sorry it stinks but i grabbed my phone and took it. i lose two powers but im able to gain unlimited combustion. with burning im able to get up to 20k per tick so its also like exploiting a bug as well.

needs to be fixed now not push aside for another 2 months. @Asros @AgentVapor @MichaelMayhem @PsiLocke @KomoriMan , when the pet bug hit and we were running into different zones you fixed it quick so shouldnt having to quit the game mulitple times a night make this bug be more " top on of the things to do list"?

The Dr. Doom fight has always been a buggy mess but it wasn't that big a deal pre-BUE because even with the bugs, it was still super easy. Now you guys have ramped the damage up big time which is cool except for the bugs make the fight frustrating as hell now. Don't get me wrong, I love a good challenging fight but the way this terminal is on cosmic is just unfair right now and it's mainly because of bugs such as:

  • Stage 2: Doom disappears for his crashdown move and sometimes takes several seconds to reappear. The extended missing Doom time will cause the telegraph mark to disappear which sometimes leads to the orange circles forcing you toward the landing area that you're not exactly sure where it is now.
  • Stage 2 & 3: The energy circles on the ground often turn invisible.
  • Stage 2 & 3: The missing areas of the floor often are not visible immediately which can lead to you unknowingly painting yourself into a corner with no dash escape route.
  • Stage 2 & 3: Even once the holes in the floor are visible, they often don't accurately portray which areas can be walked on and which cannot. I've been able to walk over holes and been stopped by solid floor many times.

So those are the big bugs and they've been there for awhile but when combined with the following normal Stage 3 mechanics, it's just not a fair fight:

  • Multiple white energy circles that often leave you no safe place to stand
  • Doom's machine gun energy bolt fire
  • Trash mob spawns that block movement
  • Doom porting off and rapidly healing until he's engaged again

So again, these mechanics taken alone are pretty much fine. They add difficulty but there's nothing wrong with something being hard. Combined with the bugs though, it's just maddening unfair. Start with the white circles. I don't know if there's 3 or 4 of them now but they cover a lot of floor, especially considering that about 60-70% of the floor is gone by Stage 3. It used to be no big deal because those white circles didn't hurt much. Now they hurt a great deal and getting stuck on the floor and killed by energy circles (especially invisible ones) just makes you want to punch your monitor. Same goes for the mobs blocking off what little area you have to move through causing you to get machine gunned down or killed by circles. The mobs were ok when you always had access to a dash but now with dash having charges, you don't want to have to waste them dashing through trash mobs that are basically just mobile obstacles.

The fix to this is easy in my opinion. Get rid of the damn holes in the floor in stages 2 & 3. They are the source of the bulk of bugs and issues and they simply are not needed any longer. This fight would be hard on cosmic even if the floor remained intact. At the very least, remove the Doom fight from the daily terminal quest until you can fix it please. I absolutely dread seeing this on my quest list when I log on.

This post got longer than I planned but I wanted to cover everything. TLDR: Fix bugs in the Doom fight and/or remove it from the daily terminal quest rotation until the bugs can be fixed.

Eliminate Teleport Altogether

Seriously Gaz, if you're gonna make teleporting that bad, just get rid of it. Make it a dash like everyone else and it will at least be faster and more straight forward. Because the way you have it now, a slow motion vanishing trick that can't even cross a fence. It is the worst of both worlds. I can use 3 charges and not even move.

POWER TREES

Psionics: (Mental)

  1. Psionic Blast (Basic) – Blast your enemy with you headbandmindbrainpower pew pew – Restores spirit

  2. Psionic Prison (AoE DoT) – Create a field of Psionic Energy causing damage over time and a chance to confuse your enemies – DoT Persists for 5 seconds when target leaves the zone.

  3. Mega Beam (charged beam) – Charged a mental beam at the target, 100% more damage fully charged and also increased Mental Crit Chance on target by 10%

  4. Mind Blast (AoE weaken) – Blast the target/s with mental energy weakening the enemy

  5. Hyper Psionic Blaster (Big Damage CD) – hyper combo from MvC3 – Fired a WIDE Laser at the target (Spit Fire big) Big Damage – Guaranteed Crit – 8 second CD.

  6. Mind Whip (Boss Killer/Spammer when not applying debuffs) – Create mental whips that attack the target repeatedly – increases mental damage by 1% per hit (max 5% ) for 10 seconds – Damage of Mind Whip is increased by 5% per mental debuff on target.

  7. Psionic Wave (AoE clear)– Creates a devastating wave of Psionic Energy blasting foes that it passes through.

  8. Superior Intellect (Offensive Passive) – M.O.D.O.K.’s Superior Intellect allows him to locate weak points in enemies and cause the most damage possible.

  • +Crit
  • +Crit Damage
  • +Max Spirit
  • +Damage

Tech: (Physical/Burn)

  1. Machine Guns (Basic/Spender w/ Burns) – Fire quadruple machine guns from your chair - +25% crit chance per active Burn for this power

  2. You’ve Got Mail (Teleport) – Turn yourself into Electronic Data and transport yourself to the targeted area.

  3. Napalm (AoE/Burn/CD) – Send several napalm missiles up into the air from your chair to land on your enemies – Hits for moderate damage - When enemies are struck, they are left burning for 5 seconds (5 second CD)

  4. Oil Slick (AoE debuff/Knock Down) – fire oil from your chair in an area creating slippery terrain for your enemies

    • Ability becomes “IGNITE” after using Oil Slick – Ignite the oil causing an explosion and hitting the target for big initial damage and burn all enemies in the AoE. Knockdown persists w/ burn as long as target is still in Oil Slick.
    • Can be activated immediately, then ability converts back to Oil Slick
  5. Jet Propelled Heabutt (Big Damage CD/Vulnerability) – Propel yourself forward with your chair – Headbutting the target, and returning to your original spot. Damage and Crit change is increased by 100% on second hit. Causes enemy to take additional physical damage –

  6. DESIGNED FOR… (SIGNATURE) – Take out all the weapons in your arsenal and unleash them on the taget/s for 5 seconds doing massive damage. Invulnerable during use

    • Think War Machine’s signature only with more ridiculous weapons; LIKE THIS PICTURE –

  1. Calculate Probabilities (Defensive Passive) – MODOK forsees all outcomes and increases his defenses based on the pitiful foes he’s facing –
  • +Def
  • +HP
  • +Deflect/Dodge
  • CC Break
  • Upon Death – MODOK vows that he is still superior and explodes, dealing massive damage to all targets around him (MODOK still receives XP for targets killed upon DEATHSPLOSION)

A.I.M. Assist

DISCLAIMER: This is meant to be more of an Assist/buff tree – not necessarily a full on damage tree. Not a summon tree – It’s like Cyclops’ ‘call-ins’ and the damage the summons do is applies to procs for M.O.D.O.K. just like Cyclops.
Can only have one call-in active at once – but they do not share a CD.

  1. A.I.M. Agents (10 sec CD/Heal)– Summon several A.I.M. agents to assist you and repair damage to you and your chair for 3 seconds.
  2. A.I.M. Crushbot (10 sec CD/Defensive/Taunt/Physical Damage) – Summon a Crushbot that will charge the nearest target/s and stun them – then taunt them – creating an energy wall that deflects damage for a short time – Active for 3 seconds
  3. A.I.M. Turrets – (10 sec CD/Ranged/Energy Damage) – Summon 2 turrets at targeted area for 5 seconds – they do quick rapid attacks on the closest target and then explode at the end of the 5 seconds.
  4. A.I.M. Exterminator – (25 sec CD/Ranged/Energy Damage) – Summon an A.I.M. Exterminator for 15 seconds to shoot all nearby targets with their energy rifle.
  5. Headbots – (10 sec CD/Ranged/Mental) – Summon 2 Headbots that shoot richocheting mental orbs at surrounding targets for 3 seconds.
  6. Clap for M.O.D.O.K. (Passive) 1 point passive with 3 specializations –
    a. Mental Focused Headband – Mental Damage increased by 10% - spirit costs reduced by 10% - Hyper Psionic Blasters cone and damage increased by 100%
    b. Tech Expert – Burns tick at twice the speed, physical crit increased by 10% - Machine Guns now also benefit 1% damage per 1% attack speed
    c. Jack of all….KILLING! – You can now have 2 permanent A.I.M. summons.
  • Or can make the A.I.M. tree a summon tree with this Specialization -Mind Whip now adds Summon Damage per stack instead of Mental Damage)
  1. Mayor of Killville – Hitch a ride in the coolest car known to man.

ULTIMATE:

MINDSPLOSION - Unleash a devastating mental explosion to everything and everyone around you - leaving a DoT in the surrounding devastation

(Like War Machine's Ult with Iron Man, similar activation time, leaves damage on ground does big initial damage)

Cosmic Artifacts

Cosmic Artifacts should be "craft-able" with cosmic fragments as an upgrade to existing base artifact.

This keeps economy happy since everything but the final cosmic artifact is trade-able.
You could make them destroy-able for cosmic fragments as a resource so they don't go to waste.
The cosmic fragments still make you do cosmic content, just lowers frustration when spending all day in cosmic zone only to have the regular base artifact drop (or make only the cosmic version drop in cosmic zones).
You could even make the "recipe" have some weird requirement, or for commendations since I have no idea what to do with my stockpile for now etc.

There were crimson boxes and other paths to get what you were after, now there is a very very narrow avenue to acquire cosmic artifacts and it is causing me to experience frustration levels I have NEVER felt towards this game until now.

My thoughts on the current state of "endgame" and how to utilize your time at 60.

Due to the introduction of BIF/SHIELD boxes and bounty chests being an actual source of good loot, my entire outlook on what to do to best utilize time at 60 has changed. I used to sit in cosmic midtown for hours a day, but no more.

-SHIELD box currency has essentially eliminated the value of raiding.
-Cosmic bounty chest are arguably the best source of loot in the game.

I am ENTIRELY disregarding cosmic Doom terminal due to it being very "bugged" right now and do not consider it an efficient use of time since you can end up spending several minutes clearing a bounties and "side" bosses to get teleported to heroic difficulty at Doom.

Now, lets get to something that's always been debated on this game, TTL vs sustained DPS vs burst DPS.

My thoughts on this are simple, why do i need sustain if i can 1 shot things with an AOE or kill a boss in seconds.

SHIELD box farming is all about maximizing clear time (minimizing time outside of a hub) and that is in cosmic terminals.

Cosmic terminals (excluding doom), in my opinion, are a complete joke for the majority of heroes once you get even relatively decent items let alone BIS everywhere. I know omega is coming but that's not what we have right now.

There is absolutely NO reason to be running sustained DPS in terminals when:

A. 70% of the time you likely arent standing still getting to use every power in the exact rotation you want.
B. Cosmic bosses and enemies don't have anywhere near enough health to need to have good sustained DPS.
C. Burst DPS removes the need for TTL.

Let me elaborate on point C. If you can kill something in 1 hit, or a few seconds, why do you need to be able to absorb a bunch of damage? Yes, boss "skill" will likely 1 shot you, but guess what, those things are going to either chunk you or kill you even if you run TTL builds. We have a 3 charge dash button, use it to cancel any animation and get out of that power.

Yes, it works. I run a 30% damage reduction 22k health Ultron in cosmic terminals and the only time i die is when i get hit by something im not in the power hit zone of, lose vision of a boss, or just don't care and suicide rush bosses when my "free revives" are up.

I know boss fights are going to be changed in the "near future" but this is about what we have now, and right now there is no reason for you to be doing anything but running burst DPS heroes through cosmic terminals if you want to maximize your reward/time spent at 60.

For those of you who still want to go to cosmic patrols, disregarded TTL still works. USE YOUR DASH.

New "spirit" replacers not activating

@KomoriMan , @MichaelMayhem , @Asros, @PsiLocke (sorry, do not know who to tag)

I wanted to let you know that I have experienced bugs on almost every hero that had his "spirit" replaced with something else that activates when it reaches its maximum. This happens VERY often. The new "spirit" reaches its maximum and simply does not activate, therefore locking out a vast array of powers, effect, procs, whatever.

Example: Angela has this new Heaven's Hel instead of spirit and once that reaches its maximum, it activates skills to be spend multiple times during the activation period. However, every other instance/map/zone, these new spirit replacers simply do not work. They reach the maximum amount and stay there, unactivated, until you zone out/change hero.

Initially I noticed this only on Storm and Wanda, but now that I played more characters I see it quasi on every character concerned with these new resources. This is a major concern as most characters' powers are build around these new resources.

I cannot reproduce the effect. But I've ran a major amount of cosmic terminals the last couple days and every other terminal this happened on heroes with the new spirit alternative that is supposed to activate something.

So, I haven't been playing the game much since the BUE, but I have a curiosity. Since the unique system exchange was scrapped, what is the proposed method of acquiring relics now?
