@Asros - you can't sell them, so if you have a bunch clogging your inventory and stash, your only option right now is to destroy them by dropping them on the ground. how about a 4 for 1 exchange like you gave us for the Bloodstone Demonband?

Hello,

Anyone else think Relics are too much of a hassle to collect, disperse between heroes, pick up, or manually stack? Currently I have all the types of Relics in my character's inventory to stack and this isn't a solution but a workaround for Relics not able to stack/unstack.

I'm not understanding the point of spreading out a specific Relic to Heroes A, B, C, and etc... if we have the option to unbind Relics (The cost is basically 1000 credits, Matrix of Unbinding [25 Eternity Splinters], and 3 pure elements). Just move all of Relic A from Hero X to Hero Y by unbinding. Was the original intention of Relics to be stored in the inventory? I'll trade the 13 inventory space in my Character's inventory that it takes up to have a redesign of Relics for auto-stack and allow Heroes to switch between different relics on the go.

My proposal for Relic Changes, two routes of collections can be made, either auto pick-up or manual pick-up, but both would auto stack:

A: Relic Slot Expansion (Drop-down like Right/Left mouse skill)
This option, will still allow Users to pick up the relics from the ground to have that "Oh! a relic drop!" effect but would need it's own designated inventory space. The new inventory space would probably be best within the Relic slot, so if you want to see and access the Relics then you need to click on the Relic slot to generate a drop-down/pop-up like how Users select a skill from the Left and Right Mouse skill. Going this route would be the cleanest and keeping the look of UI the same.

B: Add within Synergy Page
With this option, You'll have to change how Relics are picked up and be more like Odin Marks to have it stored behind the scene. With this new page, it'll allow users to change their synergy and the corresponding Relic to complement each other. Of course "Synergy" would be removed and just be named "Hero System" to encompass the new Relic.

Probably not the best implementation but this will require something like the first option, Auto-pick up and hidden behind the scene like Odin Marks. The User would open another window and select which Relic to activate of the 13 different relics that is currently in the game. But with this approach the User/Gameplay feel would be too clunky as it's another UI you have to open and deal with.

D: One Relic to rule them all
As posted by many users, the change would be to convert all future drops to be some type of currency. This new currency is would be used at a Relic Vendor to buy specific Relics of the User's choice. As how Credits, Cube Shards, Eternity Splinters, etc... are used as currency to buy items. This would also be similar to Siege Case Vendor in Asgard (trading in Spirit of Ymir and Ivaldi)

Cost, Consequences, and Negative Impacts

When new systems are introduce, there needs to a balance or a trade-off for the Users and Company. Since this game is free2play, the company (Gazillion) will also need to make some kind of profit or return from implementing this new system. As of now, Gazillion is profiting by having Relics taking up space in the inventory/stash, which makes Users need to buy Stash Tabs or drive users mad until they run out of space (Sooner or later you'll cave in, the more you play than the more ES and Heroes you'll obtain). Also if you notice, more items are introduce. We got Uru forge items already in, cosmic Rings, and soon will be Runewords. If you play a lot, good luck on the temptation to buy more Tabs.

As many has pointed out, there needs to be a cost/consequence to reroll a different Relic. I know most would rather like it free but it won't have meaning to it. Take for example, respecing a Hero's skill tree. The cost is a Retcon (or wait for a skill tree rework ;p ), this gives meaning to having you put your points in the right places. Now if you look at the cost of Retcon, there are several ways to obtain it but it'll cost you time or money.

So in this regards, any of the new system suggested above will need a trade-off to have Gazillion get some type of return/profit. With the above suggestions this will ultimately free up inventory slots which is probably Gazillion's bread and butter of making money from new users.

Right now I'm sure what would be the best approach to have user pay Gs or Eternity Splinters for this feature for the "free" inventory space, but do know Gazillion can make some type of return by charging Users when they decide to change Relics. Just like changing your Hero's skill tree, Gazillion can charge per change of Relics.

Looking at the cost of unbinding a stack of Relics is 1000 credits, Matrix of Unbinding or 25 Eternity Splinters, and 3 pure elements. If you brake this down, the main cost is the Matrix of Unbinding. The worst case is spending 25 Eternity Splinters to at least unbind an Relic, which is basically about 3.5 hours of gameplay worth of a User's time. This would probably need to be implemented at least to require the user to "respec" a Relic. Introduce an item called "Relic of Unbinding" that can be bought from the Eternity Splinter for 25 splinters to allow users to respec Relics if they choose to. Adding this feature will allow users to feel a sense of value in their Hero's build and also help Gazillion by having User's spend Eternity Splinters instead of stock piling to buy new Heroes.

But in the end, Gazillion should ask themselves, is 13 slots taking up by Relics really worth to keep around to add frustration to the Users when more more items are being release to clutter our inventory? Also forgot, "Red items" are now on the Test Centers, add that to your list of collection haha.

As a reminder, this post isn't a debate about inventory space but to provide User friendly systems and help improve quality of life within the Game. I've talked about these points but because of how Free2Play games needs to generate revenue we should be mindful of why certain systems were introduce

This update will be huge. Actually, it may be the biggest change we will see in this game. If MH is to bring new players, the update should be advertised well so it doesn't go under the radar of gaming news outlets, reviewers and so on. I know the devs wouldn't give out their marketing plans because they are confidential, but I still want to know that somekind of advertisement campaign is in the workings. Maybe even advertise it as an expansion (although we know it's not really).

Hey folks,

I got some help on this a while ago, but I'm not sure how much things have changed since then, so I'm asking for help again. I have a minor neurological problem with my hands that makes it difficult for me to play really twitchy games. Is there a relatively stationary MH character I can play that can get by with maybe three frequently used powers? For PvE only. I was thinking Luke Cage, Colossus or Thing. It's not important that I be top DPS or anything, I just want to have fun.

Hey guys, So i hit 60 a few days ago, have full uniques and what rune words i can find the runes for. and i have a few questions about some of the things in the game.

Is there any day of the week or events that increases the amount of odin marks that drop?
its feels like a slow process trying to farm up the initial amount for the legendary weapon,like 300 i think +100 marks for the multiple blessings.....

Runes...... same kind of question... do the rarer runes ( like saturn /ash and the year runes) drop on certain days, or from zones/events ?

I find im getting more dmg from them buy improving my stats, than i do from a summoned ally dmg% boost. so do they get my critical rate+dmg and brutal rate+ dmg as well?

i could probably think of a few more questions, but for now i think ill stick with these.

[New Hero Suggestion] - Satana

@Maggotbreath asked me if I could do Satana or her brother Daimon. She had much broader skillset so that caught my interest and when I red her respect thread I had almost all figured out. I also remember @Garm 's suggestion of her so some inspirations could come from there [and the basic hit did more obviously]. So a request and interesting powerset are why we are here. And we are here to know a little better Hell Lord, Daughter of Satan who didn't want to serve him and sometimes was a hero rescuing Doctor Strange and sometimes her bad side took over and she was more like dead or daddy Satan. She is a succubus [sexy killer demons] who wields magic and hellfire. Oh and she don't use a lot of material for her clothing. Satana:

Introduction

Early Life
Satana Hellstrom was born a couple years after her brother Daimon. When she was still a child, her mother Victoria Hellstrom discovered her husband and Satana performing a black magic ritual in the basement of their New England mansion. Victoria went mad upon witnessing her husband's transformation and died soon afterwards. Daimon was placed in an orphanage, and Satana was taken to "Hell" to be trained in the use of her demonic powers.

Basilisk
Satana was possessed by a powerful demon called the Basilisk. Satana remained in full control of her mind and body, however, and the Basilisk had to do her bidding when she released it from her body. However, she became aware that the more she used the Basilisk to serve her ends, the stronger it grew, and that it might one day turn against her.

Satana was sent to Earth, where she continually needed to feed on souls. She often posed as a prostitute to meet her victims.
Her father continued to test her, Satana eventually refusing to serve him. She tried her best to fight other evil forces as well as learn about humans.

At one point, the sorcerer Brian Abelard created an illusion that she was the woman Judith Chambers in a plot to take control of the Basilisk. He and the Camarilla of the N'Garai managed to separate Satana and the Basilisk, but Satana called upon the demon's help before they could sacrifice her, killing Abelard and the Camarilla, as well as remerging the demon with her.

Doctor Strange
Satana learned Doctor Strange had used Shartra's Book of the Damned. His physical body was cursed to be a werewolf, while his astral self was imprisoned by demons. Knowing he was of great importance, Satana freed him and died, as did the Basilisk.
Years later, Satana was resurrected.

Powers and Skills

Satana is a succubus, a particular type of demon blessed with great beauty and magical powers. She is stonger and more durable than humans. Satana's soul was formerly bonded to an arch-demon and agent of destruction know as "The Basilisk." It was a very powerful demon, considered one of the deadliest, and she could release him from inside her and then return it to her.

Life-Force Absorption: As a succubus, she feeds on the souls of people. Her kiss kills her victims, causing them to shrivel and release the soul in a butterfly like form. Satana would then capture the butterfly to feed on it. When she takes people's souls, she gains power from them and it increases her magical powers. Apparently it does not work on psionic vampires.

Hellfire Manipulation: Satana possesses the ability to generate, control, and project hellfire (also known as soulfire) at will. Hellfire is an ethereal and supernatural flame that burns the soul of a person and can be used to burn their physical body.

Flight: Satana is able to levitate herself in order to fly.
Astral Projection: Satana can release her astral form from her body, instantaneously and at will.
Mind Control: Satana is able to enter and control the minds of others.
Magic: Satana has shown that she possesses potent mystical power.

Power Trees

Secondary Resource
Soul Meter. Collecting souls fills the soul meter. You store them in you and can acces them when needed. Depending on the soul strenght of the soul it fills the bar in different quantity. Hp of the enemy also matters. 5-10% Grey mobs, 15-25% blue, 25-35% yellow, 35-45% miniboss, 45-50% boss.

If you use soul collecting power [Draining Touch or Sweet Kisses] targeting yourself you use 10% of the Soul Meter gaining buff +X Dmg +X Defence +X Move and Attack Speed for Xs, and you regenerate X hp and X spirit. This doesn't cost spirit and don't put power on cooldown. You can activate this power multiple time to increase the buff.

If you die you apear back in hell then come back to where you were slain but with empty Soul Meter. The percentage of the Soul Meter you had in the moment of death is the percentage of hp you come back with. If it was empty you don't come back. This have cooldown 7min 6s.

  • Hell Lord Succubus

  • Using your female charms and your sucubus powers charm a group of men.
    You charm enemies in a small area in not too far range from you. They start fighting for you for Xs.

  • I look like someone who would be into this kind of stuff. But this isn't for pleasure. ... Maybe a little bit.
    Summon demonic snakes that apear on enemies in small target area making them stuck in place.

  • You are succubus. You feast on souls and can do so with just a touch. One just like this.
    Touch single enemy and make him wither in an instant. If he dies he releases his soul as a pink butterfly that you eat to make your powers stronger.

To Hell with you Melee, Area

  • I maybe can't defeat you ... but have good time coming back from hell.
    Your eyes go red and skin around them goes black. Fire comes out of sides of your mouth like steam. Everyone who touches you [short melee range] start to burn from inside, flames come out of their eyes and mouths then they disapear sent to hell. Strong enemies will find their way back after few seconds coming weaker.

Flight Travel Power

  • Depending on the costume either hover with body tilted to the front or flight with cape held in spread out arms like wings of a bat.

Burning Spirits Summon

  • Those guys that you see just rising around you. Thsoe are your enemies now.
    From the ground come five human soldiers having fire in them. They attack enemies around them for Xs. Your Fire Powers deal more dmg to enemies attacked by Burning Spirits. At the end Each Burning Spirit change into flame that goes into different single enemy dealing dmg. If there are no enemies or not enoug the Burning Spirit disapear in flame.

Mind Controll Summon

  • Take controll over a mortal mind and use it as a puppet. People are already saying that demons do that so what's the difference.
    Take controll over target enemy. It becomes permament Minion. You can have 3 mind controlled Minions but the second one and third one increase the cooldown time on Flaming Zombies and Stone Giant.

  • If Hellish Charm is used on the area around Mind controlled pet it gets bonus dmg, movement and attack speed. Your minion don't fight charmed enemies but leads them.

  • Mind controlled Minions attack enemies bounded by Bonding Snakes if they aren't further than Xs of moving to be in range.

Stone Giant Summon

  • Meet my guardian. It was made to stop Doctor Strange so you can run now.
    Flaming Head apears in the air and looks at the ground breathing fire into giving it life and form. Giant made of stone rises from the ground to smash your enemies. His attacks knock down enemies and leave them vulnerable.

Sweet Kisses Area, Melee

  • Life draining kiss, a succubus speciality that turns living being into shriveled corps and a beautiful tasty soul.
    Teleport to target area and apearing one by one next to up to five enemies give a kiss to each of them. This life draining kiss makes enemies wither in an instant. If they die they releases their souls as a pink butterflies that you eat to make your powers stronger.

Fists on fire Basic, Melee lvl 1

  • Satana can handle herself in hand to hand comabt against mortals with ease. But hands covered in hellfire help to deal with more than that.
    Agile but strong looking punches with medium attack speed. After use of any hellfire power this power deal additional dmg from hellfire and have potential to burn enemies.

Teleport lvl 1

  • Disapear and reaper with buff of smoke in different location.

Fire Breath Melee, Area lvl 1

  • If your mothers warned you about bad lustful women and fire breathing demons then guess which ona am I? If you guessed "both" then you are right.
    Leaning forward with hands to the sides you spew fire from your mouth at your enemies. Flames come in a cone that burns them from the ground the their chests and they quick catch fire. Flames burn in your eyes.

Beam of Power

  • When you need to hit something just once you hit it with hard tangible magic.
    Standing in wide stance you shoot a red wide energy beam grom both hand held in front of you. This beam hits target area or first enemy on it's path. If it hits enemy it deals direct dmg and knocks him back. If it hits the area it deals dmg in small area leaving a crater. Slow attack speed.
    Dmg X – Direct biger dmg
    Dmg X – Area dmg
    Knockback – From direct hit

Scorching Flight Movement, Area, Ranged

  • Soar over enemies brining some Hell closer to them.
    Fly in line spewing fire on enemies bellow and leaving a trail of fire that will disapear after few seconds.

    Small Cooldown

Gasious Breath Ranged, Area

  • It's not a burp. Ladies don't burp.
    Release cloud of sleeping gas around you and in front of you [half circe behind you and wide cone in front of you]. Gas knocks out enemies and make them weaker.

Burn to the Ground Ranged, Area

  • Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha H!
    Fly up and breath fire in target area. Channeled for Xs, you can move the area. If the same area is targeted for 2s it starts burning which deals more dmg but lasts only 2s after the fire ends.

    You take 25% less dmg while channeling

Lightning at finger tips Ranged

  • You are the lucky one. They say lightning never strikes twice but you showed them. What was it? Seventeen?
    Shoot target enemy with constant stream of magical lightning energy. Lightning you create arcs as separate lightnings or branches hiting enemies in the cone around the main lightning. This cone is as long as the distance to the target. Closer the enemy more dmg the lightnings deal. Medium-Fast attack speed.

Nuclear Option Ranged, Area

  • I think I know the perfect spell.
    Giant swords made of energy fall on enemies in target area. They are knocked up then they are stuned lying on the ground.

Ultimate

Basilisk
"Basilisk I summon thee. Come thee forth and slay!"
This power have two versions. One when you just tap the power second if you hold it and channel. First press make Satana hover and compress her body. Then:

  • If you've just taped the power Satana streightens up and points her hand into target area where she summons a powerful demon Basilisk. When he is sumoned he drains you Soul Meter which prolongs his summon time.
  • If you've channeled the power Satana with much force throws her hands and legs outside, sending a blast of energy around her that sends weaker enemies into oblivion and deals dmg to stronger ones. Then her hands are surrounded by magic aura that imbues her spells with more power. After the blast buff drains your Soul Meter which prolongs it's duration.
    Dmg X – Greys are destroyed
    Knockback
    +Dmg and visual upgrade to spells.

X% chance that as a reaction you will change into a mist [Satana shaped] for a split second and ignore dmg. Cooldown
X% chance that when enemie is defeated near you he will release his soul giving you health and spirit [but not filling Soul Meter]. Cooldown

X% chance that your fire powers will react with souls of your enemies burning them more volatile. Cooldown.
X% chance that when you are hit with melee power your attacker will catch on fire. Cooldown
If you don't use burning powers for Xs there is a X% chance that when you attack a small demon [or demonic cat] will apear near enemy and will last for Xs. Cooldown

Examples:

  • Demon/Demon cat that apears when not using burning powers is your permament summon that disapears for Xs from your last use of fire power.

  • Hellish Charm make enemies in target area go crazy and start fighting over you. If your mind controlled Minion is in that area he fights them dealing more dmg because they are focused on themselves.

  • Bruning Spirits becomes Demon Army you summon humanoid demons covered in stripes almost like those of a tiger. Instead of head they have a circular maw full of teath at the end of bending necks. There is one big, three normal sized and two small fast ones. They deal more dmg and root enemies with first attack [grabing them] but don't have bonus for Fire Powers and don't deal dmg at the end of the summon they just disapear in portals like the ones they came from.

  • Mind Controll* becomes **Justified Fear by turning to more demonic look and using your mind controlling powers you make enemies in area around you scared and vulnerable. Vulnerable, Fear, Small cooldown.

  • Stone Giant becomes Ice Elemental Ice Elemental bursts from the ground. It moves faster, deals more dmg, slows but have less health, deal less dmg against burning enemies taking more dmg from them and from hitting them.

  • Fists on Fire become Magic Fists After you cast a spell and use Magic Fists in Xs [less than Fist on Fire effect] your fists are surrounded with aura of the color of the spell adding more or less dmg and resembling it effects:
    Hellish Cahrm - Chance to charm.
    Bonding Snakes - Chance to root [smaller snakes come out of aura around your hands].
    To Hell With You - Adds small area of effect and have chance to weaken.
    Draining Touch - Smaller dmg bonus, Hits regenerate health and spirit.
    Beam of Power - Bigger dmg bonus and chance to knockback
    Gasious Breath - Smaller dmg bonus, aplies weaken and have chance to stun/knockdown [sleep]
    Lightning at Finger Tips - Bigger dmg bonus amd chance for lightning to arc from your hit.

  • Fire Breath becomes a channeled beam of concentrated flame that visually drops underneath it like from flamethrower. Leavs burn and slow.

  • Gasious Breath becomes Gasious Form you can change into a siluette of mist that can't be touched or hurt but can't affect the world. After use you can use it again after 0,5 s and onward to change back. Then it goes on cooldown for 1-2s. You can move slightly slower, you go through obstacles but you can't attack or use powers.

  • Burn to the Ground becomes Burn the Ground fire cascades from you hitting the ground and flows outward creating a circle of burning ground. Dmg X 2/s, Burn Dmg X 2/s

  • Lightning at your finger tips becomes Hellfire Lightning You can target only a burning ground or enemy. When the lightning hits a burning ground it explodes upward like a pillar of flame [or wall in case of Scorching Flight] removing the burning. When lightning hits a burning enemy enemy have flame in eyes, mouth and ears then explodes with small vertical explosion then imploding pulling nearby enemies forward. This deal X dmg and stuns [in case of enemy only the main target]. Slow attack speed.

Did I miss something about this? The rank 1 now lists +750 damage to area.. didn't it use to be 500?

Is the question. I have been away from the game i would say a good 18 months maybe a bit less. I think I departed when the second raid hit. I had a lot of fun when I did play but it became stale, heck even my adv pack 2 I did not see all the heroes comes out when I quit.

I just found out Brevik left.

I did see a sneak peak of the new talent tree and that kind of stuff and thought, I spent most of my time min/maxing my hero, and that almost takes away from it, which is a good and bad thing for myself.

How is the playbase? There are many other games I could be playing atm but thought I would jump in here to see what was going on, I know the holidays are the best time to play, because of all the events and bonuses ect.

One thing I did not like the the huge patches, sometimes 10gb plus for a patch, I would not be able to patch the game weekly as I have caps now so I have to limit when and what I use it on.

I think if Diablo 4 does not get announced at blizcon I might just jump back on need me some arpg that is online.
