Do you think we'll ever see Mantis in the game? Especially with her making her big screen appearance next year?

What kind of ::: one shots / Story chapters : Would you like to see?

Me personally, i'd love something really awsome, to be honest. all these events are pretty much the same. just give you different stuff to do in the world we already explored countles times.

Now, for example what i would prefer. would be if they made a One shot story with Luke Cage launch on NETFLIX. instead of an event. it's my personal opinion. no idea how others think about this. but it also gives you much more to do in future.

but to the point, i will only do top 10 just because i want to see some other amazing ideas people have!

What kind of one shots/story chapters would i like to see?

Apocalypse - I am still suprised we haven't seen anything about him. ( Please don't tell me the things about MCU and FOX issue, cause lately Marvel CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS had a very long 3 months event about X-MEN, it was all about them. )
So i do not see any issue right here. since MH and MCOC had the rights before the whole drama, yet i do not think one shot would be enough. give us a chapter that is made out of 5-7 acts

Civil War - This time, i'd prefer it as a full story chapter. maybe made out of 6 acts, or two whole chapters since the story plot can be big? dunno. just make it a bit like MUA2 although a bit more enjoyable.

Age Of Ultron - I think it was an missed opportunity when they first intorduced they're gonna do something with it. although it doesn't mean they still cannot add it to the game, right? i mean imagine an amazing chapter made out of 6-8 acts that are all about Ultron's invasion. would be freaking cool!

Shadow King - Honestly one of the best yet underrated villains in the whole x-men franchise, i think this one deserves an extreme chance to be seen in-game as a boss. it would be astonoshing to actually fight against Shadow King. let's say someone is kidnapped in astral plane, like Magik in XML, and you have to rescue her ending in a colloseum again in XML where you fought against some of the x-gladiators. then the final battle. it would be freaking-tastic! and i'd prefer this as a whole chapter or even two. i think it has too much potential to end up being a one shot.

Collector/Mojo/arcade - One of these three, unless they can do something original with all three, collects heroes/villains for their enjoyment and own idiotic purposes. would be neat, although i see it more as a one shot.

Sentiles - Mastermold - Megasentiles - Something aka mutant hunt. would be amazing. i always loved that aspect of X-MEN, but it shouldn't be only them. they should add trask, some purryfiers. etc. i think one chapter made of 4 acts would be great

Hydra invasion - I am not gonna go into any details. but i am pretty sure gaz can do a lot of amazing stuff. there's so much that can be done with just the title itself lol. depends on gaz their vision. it can be either one shot or chapter. it's their call

Galactus - This one has not yet made it in the game, HOW?! LOL. i mean he needs to have his own WHOLE CHAPTER! and better 8 acts in it! this one has a lot of potential! Skrulls, etc etc

Shi'ar - A lot of potential can be explored in this one as well. either one shot or story chapter, again, depends on the vision from our beloved devs. the story can either center around m'kraan crystal, Phoenix. etc etc

Thanos - Same as galactus.... i mean. he is one of the most powerful villains in MCU. how is he not yet in-game?! i want to be able to fight him with my Jean! his story can be so big and huge and can be so much explored that i'd say give him a story chapters made of 6 acts. unless you're gonna make one shots with acts as well ;p

**For me, that's it for now ;) what are you ideas for future one shots and story modes?! **
Ps. Please stop posting negative things. this thread is pure for fun and sharing ideas all together. not to bash on each other. simply avoid the thread if you do not like anything besides grinding items

A modest proposal that might soothe some of the upset over the upcoming game changes.

@Asros So, obviously, the recently announced changes have been met with some resistance, particularly from long-term players who might feel that they are going to lose out on some of the accomplishments that they have spent many hours compiling, be these omega points or uniques. At the same time, we have recently seen a redesign of chapter one, with a similar redesign of chapters 2 and 3 coming soon.

The redesigned chapter one offers 9 eternity splinters as a reward. Assuming that the new chapters 2 and 3 will be comparable, that means, one will earn 27 eternity splinters from the first 3 chapters of the game. When the new changes go live, why not retroactively award players these eternity splinters for each level 60 character they have who had previously completed these chapters, or simply for each level 60 character they have. Prestiged characters would receive the eternity splinters for each level 60 prestige achieved.

While not a perfect solution, this would certainly be one way to benefit most players in accordance with how many hours they have put into the game. A player with a few level 60 heroes would receive fewer splinters than one with many level 60 heroes, who would, in turn receive fewer splinters than a player with many prestiged heroes.

Again, this is mainly a proposal to start a conversation on ways to make more dedicated players feel like they will be rewarded for their long history with the game, rather than penalized (whether this feeling of being somehow penalized is merely a perception or an actual reality is something best left to another thread) as the new changes to the game are implemented.

Disclaimer: I myself have about 700 hours in game, with 29 heroes unlocked, and none prestiged, so I am not one of the players who would benefit the most from the top tiers of this proposal, though, I would, like many of us, benefit significantly.

Please include a rebalance to debuff effects

I'm hoping that in this new update debuffs get rebalanced. Effects like slow, weaken, confuse, blind, etc. have very little effect on normal enemies because they die so fast, and bosses are immune to them. This leaves heroes whose power balance includes these effects to be comparatively weaker than a hero who deals straight damage. In order to preserve the relative power of heroes that debuff, there needs to be some way for them to affect bosses with these effects, or for the damage of these heroes to compare well to heroes that do not debuff when facing a boss.

Returning (maybe) player... new game changes??? halp!

So I've taken a 6-ish month 'vacation' from the game. I just couldn't handle all of the issues that had been plaguing MH for the past 2 years any longer. However, by chance I decided to log in today and got a 50% off G bundle coupon from the free daily card gift thing, and got pretty excited. Not sure whether it's worth to invest any more in this game than I already have (and subsequently been let down)... Soooo I came to visit the forums and saw all of these dev posts regarding new changes and systems that are to be implemented soon(tm). Just as a point of reference, the last thing I remember happening in-game was GG's/Elektra's release, Hightown, and the omega cap increase.

I'm seriously considering coming back just from briefly looking at some of the proposed changes to the game, but I have a few quick questions if anyone would be so kind to shed some light on.

1) No more uniques? No more credit chest trade-in recipe? I was a HOARDER and I still have stash tabs full of cakes, random unique boxes, etc. Will I have to spend an entire weekend going through all of that crap so that I can 'cash in' on credits and uniques before they change to 'omega items'? Cause if that's what I have to do in order to not get boned after this proposed 'revolutionary game update' then I'll be fairly turned off...

2) All of the time and resources I spent on getting perfect cybernetic affixes, now wasted? If I have a +2 to range powers affix, will it be automatically replaced with the new 'best' affix for that slot? Or will I have to spend hours and hours re-rolling it AGAIN to get a decent affix? Same regarding unique rolls. If I spent x amount of resources re-rolling my perfect Magneto slot 2 unique, will I get a perfect slot 2 'omega item' once they switch over?

3) Have they fixed the loot problem? I'm referring to both screen/bag clutter when a boss dies and spawns 3298401 items in MM, as well as boss artifacts and other desirable loot dropping game-wide instead of from the boss's instance only (i.e. gorilla necklace only obtainable from Ape in MM or the one-shot). Basically what I'm asking is if they decided to lean the game away from spam-running instances for hours on end with your fastest hero, and instead towards acquiring high-value item drops from all mobs in any area at any pace. This was honestly the main reason I stopped playing; after months of waiting for it to "get better" based on dev responses never actually materializing....

4) Hero balance and reliance on items. I was around for the defense rework, but there were still HUGE gaps in hero-to-hero survivabilty. Also, needing a high roll item for each of my "main" heroes in order for them to be competitive from a min/max perspective was not enjoyable. I either had to spend MONTHS trying to get multiple top items for each of my mains, or had to unbind items constantly when I wanted to switch my "main" hero each day. Otherwise, only 1-2 of them would be doing top damage and the others would hit like wet rags and die to AOE damage after two seconds...

5) PVP. Anything out of "beta" yet? lol

TL;DR
Should I bother returning to the game if I wasn't happy with the loot system and huge variance between heroes 6 months ago? Has any of that significantly changed? Posting your favourite/least favourite changes over the past 6 months (and upcoming) would be super helpful as well!

Thanks in advance

Dev Blog 3: Infinity System

$

Greetings!

I am TheArtofRawr, Lead Systems Designer for Marvel Heroes 2016. This is the third in a series of dev blogs describing the biggest systems update in the history of the game. As previously mentioned, we will be updating four core game systems over the course of multiple game updates:

  • Hero Power Updates

  • Item Updates

  • Omega System Update
  • Personal Difficulty Slider

In the most recent dev blog, we shared with you the future of Items in which we discussed bonus power ranks and introduced a new rarity level, Omega. Prior to that, we outlined the flagship system change regarding Hero Powers, where we discussed Power Points, Talents, and Traits. Today we will be discussing an exciting new end-game progression system–the Infinity System.

Origins as Omega System 2.0

The Omega System was originally designed to serve as an end game progression system offering max level players more depth and interest, as well as something more to advance towards with their Heroes. While such intentions are sound, the specifics and presentation of the Omega System became overly complex and difficult to parse. It takes a long time to read all of your options and determine a tactical path for assigning your Omega points. Some of the Omega bonuses were certainly enticing to build towards and achieve, while others were less so. And how do you know which are better for one Hero versus another? The options presented themselves as a veritable beehive of paths, encompassing ~170 nodes across 14 pages, leading to analysis paralysis and an undue burden of reading material to sift through.

What if there were a simpler way to find what you want for your max-level Heroes so you can get back into playing the game more quickly and easily?

Introducing The Infinity System

The new Infinity System offers added value to your Heroes in a clean, streamlined, and intuitive interface. In it, you will be presented six Infinity Gems, themed accordingly from the Marvel Universe: Mind, Power, Reality, Soul, Space, and Time. Within each of the six Infinity Gems, you will be presented with five options, and you will allot your points based on what you want to emphasize in your play style. You will be able to understand the whole system at a glance, and easily allocate points in a succinct way.

(Please note: The user interface above is a work in progress)

In the Infinity System, the themes are stronger, the benefits are better, and your decisions will feel more meaningful and thematically interesting.

Getting Started

Level 60 status for any Hero fully unlocks the Infinity System, and it is never locked again–even your level 1 Heroes will be able to spend your accrued Infinity points. (If you are already level 60 with any Hero, the Infinity System will be available to you upon launch.)

This new Infinity System will offer a more direct value for your Heroes in both the short and long run. It will be easier to try out new Heroes you’ve never played before. And the new system will address the endcaps on nodes, making the game more engaging for longer for heavily-invested veteran players. Each of the six pages that correspond to a Gem will have an infinite option. You will never reach a state where they are no longer earning experience.

Example Gem

Let’s look at the Power Gem’s page. Like the other Gems, it offers five distinct investment choices. One of which raises an Attribute and has an infinite maximum!

(Please note: The user interface above is a work in progress)

Each Infinity Gem’s choices are focused on elegance and tailored to the themes within that Gem.

Caveat

For those who have accumulated a large number of existing Omega points, you may be wondering if this will be a proportional change and how it will affect your points.

When the Infinity System launches, we will convert all points that are currently in circulation using division by ten (rounding up), and adjusting experience requirements accordingly (i.e. the total amount of XP you have accrued in the Omega system will carry over to the amount of XP accrued in Infinity). For example, if you have 1,825 points in the Omega system already, you will start in the new Infinity system with 183 Infinity points upon launch, which will then be distributed evenly into each of the six pages.

The Infinity system uses smaller costs with bigger impacts–some nodes can cost merely a single point while still retaining a valuable increase to your power. Likewise, a very strong node, such as +1 to an Attribute, may cost only 25 points as compared to 200+ in Omega. This change makes it easy to readjust your Infinity points, as there are bigger benefits at the cost of fewer points.

Onward!

Everything you love about the Omega System will be repackaged into a strong, elegant theme that will be much easier to use. The meat and potatoes of an end-game system will still be there, but instead of hunting down a specific bonus across several pages of hex paths in order to sort to the node you want in the Omega System, you will be making powerful decisions in the clean, streamlined interface of the Infinity System.

Now we’ve discussed three of the four core system upgrades in the biggest systems update in the history of the game. As you can see, there are a lot of exciting things coming that will make the game more streamlined, intuitive, and fun to play. Next we will be discussing one more core system update, the personal difficulty slider. Looking forward to your thoughts in the Forums.

Until next time...

[New Hero Suggestion] - Quicksilver

I don't know who at the Gaz studio said that Quicksilver can't be done because he is too fast and couldn't move enough to be in the game etc. We have Moon Knight, Spider-Man and Hulk throwing punches with similar effects. We have Thor and Doom but also Punisher and Electra. It doesn't matter how fast or strong or ridiculous they are, they can be represented in game. Emma frost runs as fast as cyclops motorcycle which rides as fast as Iron Man's rocket suit or space traveling Nova. Silver Surfer is here so anyone can be. We already have the team up with his powers and nervous stance so I think it's reasonable to try to go further and I will try to show it can be done sensibl and fun.

Quicksilver

Introduction

Early Life
Pietro was born at the Wundagore base of the High Evolutionary, he and his twin sister Wanda were the children of Romani couple Django and Marya Maximoff. The High Evolutionary supposedly abducted the twins when they were babies and experimented on them, once he was disgusted with the results, he returned them to Wundagore, disguised as regular mutants.

As adolescents, Wanda and Pietro discovered that they had unusual superhuman abilities. When Django began to steal food to feed his starving family, enraged villagers attacked the Romani camp. Using his phenomenal speed, Pietro fled from the camp with his sister. The circumstances of their separation from their family were so traumatic that not until well into adulthood could they remembered anything but the barest details of their childhood. For the next few years Wanda and Pietro wandered central Europe, living off the land.

Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
One day, Wanda accidentally caused a house to burst into flame through her hex powers, which she could not yet control. Superstitious townspeople began chasing her, thinking she was a witch. Despite Pietro's attempt to defend her, they were soon overpowered and were about to become victims of mob violence when Magneto came to their rescue. Magneto pressed them into service in his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, costumed them, and named them the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. For months they served Magneto out of a sense of obligation and fear of his reprisal. As members of the Brotherhood, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch aided Magneto in his terrorist campaigns against humanity and helped him combat the original members of the X-Men.
When Magneto was defeated by the overwhelming powers of the alien Stranger, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch quit the Brotherhood; the Stranger transported Magneto away from Earth, and the Maximoff twins returned to Transia.

Joining the Avengers
Pietro and Wanda sought refuge with the Avengers, a world-renowned team of super heroes. They were inducted along with Hawkeye to take the place of the charter members, who wished to take a leave of absence. This foursome was nicknamed "Cap's Kooky Quartet". At first it was looked upon as less capable than the previous roster, but defeating Kang the Conqueror, Doctor Doom, and other threats quickly proved their worth. Although the hot-tempered Quicksilver and Hawkeye often both rebelled against his orders, Avengers leader Captain America molded them into valuable team members.

Powers and skills

Superhuman Speed:
He was originally capable of running faster than the speed of sound (770 miles per hour)[34]. He had sufficient energy reserves that enabled him to run at this average speed for an unknown amount of hours before reducing his speed to replenish his body's store of energy. Quicksilver has used his powers of acceleration for various feats. He has plucked an arrow out of the air from a standing start, and has dodged machine gun fire. He has created cyclone-like gusts of wind, which are able to knock a man off his feet. He is able to run across the Atlantic Ocean and to oversea continents without having to stop, run up the sides of buildings effortlessly, and also seems able to use some type of energy, comparing it to "his father's power".
After being captured by the High Evolutionary, where his powers were upgraded by Isotope E, his running speed was increased until he was capable of easily reaching high supersonic speeds between Mach 4 (3,080 miles per hour) and Mach 5 (3,691, miles per hour).[35] The true extent of his amplified abilities are unknown, though he has been observed outrunning Thor's lightning bolts, running from Tibet to Indonesia in a few seconds, and covering half the Earth's distance in 92 seconds. He has ran back and forth in time and created time displaced duplicates (which Stephen Hawking theorized to take speeds of 25,000,000 mph) it can be confirmed Quicksilver has moved at speeds faster than light.[36] No explanation has been given yet for his recent increase in speed. Quicksilver is also immune to the effects of friction, reduced oxygen up to a point where a human can no longer breathe, and impact upon his body while moving at super-speeds. He has traveled around the world by running on top of the ocean water and even ran all the way up Mount Everest without slowing down and went flying above cloud level as a result. He has recently shown the ability to shift his molecules through solid objects, and transport people at speeds greater than the speed of sound without injuring them.

His body is adapted to high speeds and what comes with it. It gives him both superhuman strenght and speed. His punch can be felt by Mandarin through his energy shielding. He can lift 1000 pounds and his legs push 1 ton.

Pietro is also very inteligent and because of his speed he can learn really fast and examples of that are: when he learned by hismelf how to solve rubicks cube by trying it at amazing speeds, learning how to play Moonlight Sonata in seconds.

Power Trees

  • Running
Powers that start or end with running, running through enemies, running to enemies but never from them.

  • Speed
With speed Quicksilver can do cyclones, take air from target location, Language! objects and of course punch really fast. This is the tree for that.

Idle animation like that of the team up - constant movement, even standing is moving. Normal running animation can be done in many different visual ways to look right - but specialists at gaz will know better than me. Some techniques are in TU Quicksilver and some are here.

If there will be "+Movement Speed" in the game, Quicksilver have the highest value from the start and as it's stated in Offensive Talent "+Movement speed" from items, buffs or any other source is turned into dmg.

Two references for powers

Running

Slow Pace Movement lvl 1

  • Dash - Walk slowly making shananigans on your way. Slap here, tied shoelaces there, maybe a push etc.
    Dmg X
Chance to knock down, knock up, knock back.

Over Here Melee, Movement, Area lvl 1

  • Run to target area [can be picked on the whole screen] beat some folks up and come back in the time some slower heroes would just throw their shield ... I mean few punches.
    Dmg X

Road Runner Melee, Movement

  • Even though they are slow [not even comparitevly to you] there was one who could try this. Run through whole screen and back hiting enemies and leaving them in shock and opened.
Dmg X - both ways Vulnerability
    Short cooldown

Break their weapons Melee, Movement

  • Upon activation quickly draw a pattern with your mouse or stick. Quicksilver runs in this pattern hiting everyone and damaging their weapons or their ability to fight. [If technology to do that isn't real - It's just a wide line perpendicular to you. After hit you come back to the starting place.]
    Dmg X
    Weaken

Like bowling pins Melee, Movement, Area

  • Run to the target area hit enemies there and stoping rapidly after.
    Dmg X
Knock back [from the side you came]

Keep down Travel

  • It's not standing in place but it's not moving either. But we have to arive together sometimes and maybe talk on the way.
Animation: While the camera is moving like it would when you run, Quicksilver goes sometimes in front of the movment sometimes he goes back or even stands. If there are obstacles he runs around them so it's like flying in that regard.
    Travel Speed 1000

Normal Speed Teleport

  • After just a blink of an eye you already stand there waiting.
Animation: Think about Rogue Sinister Power animation but for the teleport. Colors of the streak match his costume and avoidi obstacles on the screen. If he jump through wall and wall don't have connection on the screen the streak of color goes to the edge of the field of vision and apear on the side you teleported conecting to that spot like you would run all around.

Blitz them all Movement, Melee

  • Run at high speed from left to right or from top to bottom making a zig zag pattern that in second fill all the screen. Hit every target on the screen.
    Dmg X
    Knockdown.
    Cooldown - medium

Signed by Pietro Movement Melee

  • Unearth a stop sign from the ground and run to the target location to hit the home run.
    Dmg X
High Crit Chance Knockback - big
If Knockback is resisted then this power might Stun.
Cooldown - you can't just steal all the signs

Speed

Speed boxing Basic, Melee lvl 1

  • Animation: Hit few enemies in front of you [small cone] hiting them with individual single boxing hits [apearing in front of each of them]. Works like medium-speed attack speed attack.
    Dmg X

Find the weakness, exploit it Melee, Area?

  • You run circles around your foes hiting them all over looking for the weakest points and when you find them you don't stop hiting them. Small ciruclar area of effect in front of you. Spining wind around enemies in which siluette of quicksilver apears punching enemies.
    Dmg 2/s
    Vulnerability

Hand cyclons Ranged

  • Spin your hands extended in front of you. You create two long vortexes that follow your movement. Narrow medium-long cone channeled.
    Dmg X 2/s
    Slow while in the cone
    Weaken

Up draft Melee, Area

  • Run in a big circle around your position making wind that shoots enemies into the air.
    Stun
    Knock up
    Dmg X on the fall
    Small cooldown

Hundred punches Melee

  • Animation: Hit few enemies in front of you [big melee cone] hiting them with dozens hits each jumping from one to the other. Works like very fast attack speed attack.
    Dmg X
    +Dodge while using

Smashing wind Ranged, Area

  • Run around in small circle creating a twister. You release it in target direction but it lives it's own life after that. Twister have small area of dmg.
    Dmg X 2/s
    Small cooldown
Cooldown let's you have max 3 twisters. Only both reducing cooldown and prolonging duration should allow to have 4 twisters.

Fast ball Ranged

  • Run to the sport store for a baseball then wind up your arm and throw a real fast ball.
Medium attack speed fast piercing projectile. After every shot as long as power is hold Quicksilver runs for the next ball, spins his arm and throws that is why it's medium speed.
    Dmg X - big
Each enemy after first takes less dmg.

Moving fight Melee, Area

  • Channeled. Quicksilver cris crosses hiting enemies in the circular area around your mouse. You can move your mouse anywhere on the screen [screen will move like with running] and QS will follow.
    Dmg 4/s

Thousand Punches Melee.

  • Single punch from you can send real tough guys packing. But sometimes you need to throw more than one punch. Charge this power [have to be charged - it takes 1-2s] and run to the target enemy hiting him like a cannon ball, flooding him with hundreads of punches. It looks like ghostly quicksilvers fight alongside you each having additional even more seethrough arms. This lasts Xs
    Dmg X/s or Dmg X x 100 hits
Big Cooldown [maybe bigger than signature]

Vacume Signature, Melee, Area

  • When the danger is too great too hesitate and pull any punches you take the air cause that should stop even the meanest of them.
Run around where you stand in medium size area creating a vortex that keeps/pull enemies to the center [not rapidly]. They take dmg from the wind and at the end they take big hit from not breathing and colapse.
You take -25% dmg while doing this
    Dmg 2/s running
Dmg X lack of air - allways crits.
Konockdown at the end - irresistible.

Ultimate

Around the world

  • You run through target enemy and vanish at the end of the screen. Then you emerge from the other side of the screen and again run through your enemy vanishing at the ned of the screen. Then you do it the third time. Each one is faster then the last. Forth one stops at the target enemy where your fist hits with additional mass and immense speed. Run throughs hit all enemies in the path. Power follows enemy movement to allways hit him.
Dmg X first run < Dmg X second run < Dmg X third run < Dmg X fourth run
Dmg X final hit - only to the target enemy.

I heard about all these changes and tried to read up on them all but I'm lost. I'm kind of bummed out about the changes, this is my favorite game I really like how everything is and they are changing it all. =(

Anyways I've spent tons of time and money on this game so I just need to know quickly what I should do to prepare myself for the changes. I have tons of achievement coffers, omega points, armor points, commendation points, etc. tons of stuff like that, should I hand them in and for what?

I have all heroes Red or Cosmic is there certain quests I should do before the change?
My achievements are at 80% is there certain achievements I should try to do?

I have tons of costumes, unique items, artifacts etc. I spent a lot of time getting this stuff and equipping my heroes and I don't want to loose everything.

Thanks for the help.

Civil War Buff - Please Remove From Buff Bar

$

Hey @Asros,

I've commented on it before, but is there some way for us to get the buff removed from picking a side during Civil War? It's been almost a month, and I still have 9 days of game time left before it goes away. At this rate, I will still be sided with Cap by the time Civil War comes back, and it's very annoying when the buff bar can get cluttered easily already.

Thank you,

Loco

Just a note, shouldn't it be removed at the end of the event, and at the start of each time you let us pick a new side? Maybe just make it static like the new event buff icons, and just have it go away with no timer.

Nick Fury character thoughts

It is a surprise to no one that I like Nick Fury. As his concept stage and release is coming closer, I thought I'd share some thoughts I've had.

First the big one. Classic Nick Fury versus the Ultimate Nick Fury inspired guy that is everywhere these days. Let's just say that I have strong opinions about the status of classic Fury's treatment in the 616 over the last few years. They don't matter as much as Marvel Heroes is concerned though. Naturally the ultimate inspired look would be the default. But I don't think the classic one needs to be an enhanced costume. Partly because that would be a lot of enhanced costumes for one guy, and partly because Keith David is a talented guy who has a voice that could work for both versions. Just please, give me a Steranko-era costume at release. That's all I ask.

Now for powers. It seems to me that it would be logical to have "Howling Commando" be the shooty tree, "Agent of SHIELD" be the tech stuff like explosives or LMD revives, or whatever, and "Director of SHIELD" be the summoning tree. Back in the day, it was being bounced around that Fury would be Nickromancer, like a d2 summoner. I don't think that is as needed these days. Doom and Ultron both can swarm with summons, and Magik is pretty much a D2 Necro anyway.

That's why I thought to take a page out of some other characters books. I think a Command system like Magik would work out, with a mixture of small fry and a choice of heavy hitter. But then I had a thought... Why not give Nick four different summons that were basically cooldown effects? They have a duration and cooldown, and hit hard. The even if the duration got so high as to exceed the cooldown, you couldn't have two of the same summon out at the same time anyway.

The first is obvious.

That is Dum Dum Dugan punching out Godzilla. How can you not have that guy be a heavy hitter? The other obvious one would be a SHIELD goon swarm. Depending on things, it could be two different summons, a ranged or melee, or one summon that brings in a rifle agent, shotgun agent, and minigun agent. I don't know about the other two summons. Maybe Quake and/or Clay Quartermain or something.

Now, what I think would be interesting is the passive at the end of the tree. Let's call it Supreme Espionage Leadership for now. In addition to giving a party buff (and I think Fury should give two different party buffs, Endurance and Toughness for example) it would boost Summon Ally Damage, Duration, and Health. It would also explore new design space by buffing the Teamup. Straight damage bonus would be simpliest, but more interesting would have the buff change based on team-ups role. More damage if Active, more duration if Assist, or proc cooldown reduction if Passive.

Then I would have three specializations for the passive that make Nick's summons work like Team-Ups. Want the goons out all the time? Select Backup and now they get +10 minutes duration, but a penalty to damage. Want to go summonless? Take Unseen Army for some passive bonuses, and perhaps procs based on how much you invested in the summons. Or take Elite Forces for the same cooldown/heavy damage version already backed in. Elite Forces would add a mighty mandroid to the SHIELD swarm cooldown as an example, or unlock a special attack for Dum Dum.

Those are my thoughts regarding Fury. Whatever Gazillion goes with, I hope he is as fun to play as to read.

Which of these are your favourites, and are there any other costumes or looks for Xavier that you'd like to see added if he becomes playable in future?

Please note that, as with all these costume threads, this is not meant to be a complete list of all of Xavier's costumes and outfits. I will endeavour to update when possible, but please do not be offended if a particular look that was suggested in thread is not added to the list.

Dev blog 5: Content

So with everyone being excited over new systems and item stuff coming out, is anyone worried that there is no mention of content?

It's going to be cool to discover new builds for our characters, but do we really want to do it in just scaled up versions of what we are already doing?

Disclaimer: I am fully aware of the beast that is players which will devour content faster than any reasonable development time. THAT SAID, a change of scenery would still be nice. From a personal perspective, rebuilding heroes in old content takes away from the wonder of all the new goodies

NEW "old" content: mainly xdef and holo-Sim. So outdated and unrewarding that a good revamp would be as fresh as new content.

Danger room: official announced "end game" in Dec 2015, now 10 months later still broken group progression. Last word on fixes being in September sometime when @Asros confirmed "tec for fix was done and needed to be applied for a couple of days'.

No new tilesets, updated rewards, or droppable rare maps as teased for months prior and announced with release.

For a "end game" mode that was supposed to be regularly updated, why did we see things this year like ultron and skrull terminals that take 2min to do when they could be better incorporated to DR tilesets (or droppable rare chips) for much better replayability to the entire player base?

@JZB I believe this is your area of expertise.

Does sif, rif, intelligence or any buffs affect the dro rate? Where are the best farming areas? I know of MM and Holo sim and holo sim any other hunting spots?
