Gaz has decided to nerf Odin boosts so that they no longer give as many marks as they did in the past.
As these are a cash shop item, I feel that with the change in the way the boost works, either Gaz should offer discounts on the boosts already purchased (refunding partial Gs as they will be soon devalued) and charge less for them, or they should offer refunds to all that already bought them.
Having the boost change does not make much sense. It has been in its current state for over a year I believe. Why nerf it now? It is a convenience item, and I for one spend money on them so that I can have more characters with 80 Legendaries. If they devalue it to the point where it was before where you get one extra mark per boss, I won't be buying them ever again.
Gaz, please rethink how you handle your paying customers. You should increase the other zones to match CMM, not nerf CMM. I bought MORE boosts because of CMM. You will lose money the road you are going down.
EDIT: Asros has stated they will not increase the Odin mark drop rate that has been reported on TC. This will about a 40-60% reduction of marks based on what I have seen.
To make up for this, Asros stated they are changing Odin blessings to:
Increase their drop chance from bosses - we don't give specific drop rate numbers, but we want this to be something players see 1-3 times per boost used.
Double the amount of Odin Marks dropped(from 50 to 100)
Replace the Epic Reliquaries of Rarity with Cosmic
A chance of a Boss Item from the new Shared Boss Loot Table
Double XP orbs dropped
Add 10 Cube Shards
Add 1-2 Unstable Molecules
Add 10 Hero Commendations
Add 10 Protector Commendations
It looks like Gaz is doubling down on their position and refuse to give in the vast majority who want to have a less grindy experience in getting Odin marks. I won't say that I will quit the game, but it is going to affect my buying decisions going forward. I will be spending less money for sure, as I do not have the time to grind out an i80 legendary and 4 blessings for over 50+ heroes.
They have really gone the wrong way to satisfying their paying customers. Such a shame, they are often better than this.
I suggest people keep posting here so that new players and players unaware of the boost nerf can make an informed decision when buying boosts.
