New loot direction

With the new Terminal coming out for anniversary I think its time we look at the loot direction under @asros .

It use to be that bosses would have around 1/300 chance at their own artifact/unique. This was probably a bit high ill admit but it would still be something everyone strives for. Guild chat was filled with "Holy cow I found a GoK im sooo happy!" Now its "Well got another slot 1 Time to go blender"

Gaz lowered the drop rates and It started feeling o.k to me. I have no math on what the rate was but i could see 1/200 chance. Seemed like it was a bit easier to get loot.

Danger room came out and brought out the merit system. Sounds awesome! Average Cosmic Danger room run is 3 minutes and you can buy any Piece of gear or artifact in one night. Ok that's fine. But there was nothing "Rare" That came in. Nothing that you strive to get. Most everyone I know now has so many merits they don't even do Danger Room anymore. This is a darn shame to me. (I still do Danger Room even though I get nothing out of it but looking at my friends/guild list no one is ever in Danger Room)

Now lets fast forward to hightown. The unique medal is absolutely silly to get after the first week when they nerfed it. I had some buddies get 10 the first week (That was a little high drop rate) I have got 1 out of what seems like 50 hours plus. The god killer seems like its at an ok place and skull military uniform seems like i have 10 or so of them and am starting to vendor them. But the drop rate feels ok on them.

Now lets talk about crossbones. Holy cow first week was ok. Now i have a full stash page of slot 1's, Enough mats to craft over 50 slot 3's. So many artifacts I just delete them. I understand this is an event but holy cow this is just silly.

To me it seems like the game is going away from grinding for loot and into a direction I really don't know. If this trend of easier loot keeps on going the new terminal we will have multiple of everything that the boss drops in less than 2 hours.

Gaz has made it perfectly clear to their playerbase that we should NOT be grinding for XP. Since the omega cap was increased by 2.5k and took a week to cap XP is not a "Grindable" portion of this game. That leaves loot. Please for the love of god Asros put in something that we can strive to grind for again. Make like 1 piece of gear actually rare. I know a lot of people will complain that they wont ever see it but that's part of the excitement of grinding. Finally getting that one piece you have been looking for.

Civil war event came out And i killed crossbones until i had 5 of each items (took like 2 hours) and logged off since I have nothing else to grind in the game. I have everything I could ever want and there is no carrot on the stick. There has to be something that I can grind for.

My Point i'm making everyone plays where the loot is. When x-def dropped the best loot everyone was in x-def. Ultron came out and had new drops and everyone was in ultron. Danger room came out everyone played it until they had so many merits they no longer needed the gear. (Seeing the trend here? If loot is easy to get and everyone has the loot from the zone they no longer play the zone. The amount of time a certain part of the game gets is directly related to difficulty of obtaining gear from the zone) I think its about time to make a rare drop in every piece of content to get people playing it. a rare unique in Danger room that is a good unique will get people to play danger room. Make a rare drop in Holo sim and i Guarantee people would play holo sim.
