Recently Returning

I have recently returned to playing this awesome game. I am curious, what is the best way to level now? I always did LQ then when they changed the story I went that route with buffs. I have 4 heroes I haven't leveled to 60 I don't have to be 60 in an hour or 2 but a few hours of play would be nice without all the buffs.
