Has TTK as a metric become useless?

I've been playing the game for about a year now, have 51 characters capped and 6 with full 69s and i80s. Working around 9000 Omegas so far, but I'll get to the new cap soon enough for me. So this question doesn't really come from a newbie. I've been mulling this over in my head for a couple weeks now with the launch of the patch that made EoJ, Onslaught medallion and the other raid drops craftable (props for that btw Gaz).

So has the TTK metric become useless? Now that I never have to set foot in the extremely buggy and completely unfun Axis raid (no more invisible attacks, no more targeting issues, no more accidental CC breaks on heroes with them built into the rotation) it's pretty obvious that the current endgame has shifted completely to CDR and Patrols. Yet the community at large still insists that hero viability be measured in a single metric: TTK. When was the last time you saw a guide on TTL outside of Colossus?

The point I'm getting at here is, when you are deciding on which hero you want to play, why is TTK still the chief consideration in the endgame community? The content doesn't require it anymore. There are no strict DPS checks and CDR heavily favors TTL characters over TTK characters. Hence the popularity of unkillable heroes like Doom, Loki, Black Cat, Winter Soldier, Rocket Raccoon, and Colossus for that content. So let's have the conversation.

Has TTK become useless as a metric?
