External Gaming Marketplaces / New Subforum Request

Firstly I'd like to say that this thread is going to have a primary topic about gaming in general and not necessarily Marvel Heroes related, as well as a secondary topic that I'd like to start off with first.

General Discussion Revamp

Something that I've known to be a problem with the forums for us gamers for quite awhile now is that we have no "Off-Topic" subforum. A subforum where we can talk about stuff outside of the Marvel Universe. Where we can talk about gaming in general and I've seen a lot of confusion about how to properly use General Discussion (Despite it's name it's not actually a General Discussion) to the point where perfectly reasonable threads being closed for no reason other than it's not Marvel related.

So I'd like to ask @AgentFenixion why can't we have a proper General Discussion subforum where we can talk about new releases, where we can network from people who play Marvel Heroes and team up in other games or even give away prizes for other games to this community (I've seen a couple Hearthstone card pack giveaways getting closed in the years I've been here). Is it due to legal reasons that Gaz has to abide by? The reason I'm bringing this up first is because I'm expecting this thread to be closed, which is fine because I feel something needs to be said about it, although I do wish this thread doesn't get closed so we can have a reasonable discussion about this topic or if you'd be so kind and create a new thread that separates this topic from the primary topic I want to talk about.

External Gaming Marketplaces eg. G2A / Greenmangaming etc.

So as a lot of people would know that May 2016 is stacked with lots and lots of great games. From Overwatch and Battleborn to one I'm most looking forward to; Doom. This is both great and bad at the same time. It's great that we can play something new and exciting for a change because it's not very often that we get excited about games "Oh look it's just Call of Duty 2016" "Look another FIFA game" etc.

The bad part of it is that not many gamers can actually afford to buy all the games, Doom will cost me about $110 and Battleborn/Overwatch about $90 each. So It's not unlikely of people to be looking at external marketplaces for cheaper discounts than what Steam has to offer.

Now I've used G2A in the past with success I bought Mad Max for a really low price upon release, but I've noticed that if you try to link someone the G2A site in Steam it comes up with this message (Displayed to them): " {LINK REMOVED}". Which makes you wonder why? Is this a scam? How could it be a scam if it's worked before? Or maybe I just got lucky?

So I'm asking as a gamer on a budget to other gamers; What are your thoughts on external marketplaces? Do you think they're a scam? Have you used them before? Which ones have you used? Or just anything else you'd like to add.

I do ask if we could try to keep this on topic focusing mainly on the primary topic, but I'm also aware this is two topics crammed into one so at least try to hold off with the secondary topic until @AgentFenixion gets here. :P
