(talking with my guild) You guys still seem to have enouf reasons to play that game, I think its a combination between a cool comunity (talking about the guild), (lets be honest) obsession, and if you spended a lot time on a game, and became good (or at least had progress), it is hard to drop it, exspecialy if it once had a meaning for you, and gave you something, like the plessure to play your favorit heroes from your childhood...
If we talk about the potential this game has, we talk about a 10 from 10.
A lot people love marvel, the heroes, the movies, the games and so on
This game could be big, better, and a great gameplay expirience, every single time you log in...
This isnt the case... and Gaz is not even useing 1/10 from that potential, which the game could offer, and they have that totally useless talent to ruin even the realy good ideas... as an example, we increase the omega cap... it needed like 500 comments from this comunity until they got that this is a no go to handle it that way (i have 20 examples more, dont force it)
New ideas, plans for the future, it always sounds good on paper, and in a lot cases the comunity askt about it allready 200 times, but the implementation is a 3-4 steps back into the wrong direction... which isnt getable becouse they get a lot great feedback which is worth something
Like a few days ago one dev said hes sick of this comunity versus dev mentality, but to be honest, its allways the same story, this comunity has to fight for every single good improofment for every single Language!...we have to mention it 58564 times until they start to care, and we have to ask again and again, and they of course always listen, but they never give a fk, as a short example: @sadurm askt like 20 -40 times if gaz can fix that punisher bug... they fool you with intention buddy...
When I came back, I gave that game a second chance and thought, give them one year to proof you that they know what they are doing...
In the 4 month I played again, they changed nearly nothing, bad heroes are still bad, good heroes are still good (in a lot cases they also got an enorm improvement becouse of new arts, new uniques, craftable axis uniques, the medal, and the omega system).
Forget balance... balance will never happen... its imposible
I explained that like 1 year ago. They have a small team of guys who work for them, and we have over 60 heroes soon. And becouse of new arts, new uniques and so on, there will allways be a nummber of heroes who actualy needs attention, we talk about 5-10 heroes (at that will never change) but becouse of the employee limit, they need like 2-4 month for 1 damn hero... that always will force the case that a lot heroes will not change for a long time, even if it means that they will suck the next 1-2 years.
As a few examples, it took them like 1 year and a half to make DP good again (not half as op than deserved, but nvm) same story with emma, and a lot other heroes who got a review (even wanda sucked like 1 year, until she became good).
How long is colosus weak? How long nightcrawler? Is anyone here who remember the time when Squirrelgirl was a strong hero? I loved iceman, now hes a weak.
How can a hero like Hulk not be one of the top 5?
Hulk got his review last year, and like 4-5 month after his review he startet to suck again...
Sometimes gaz gets help, I remember how much loki sucked, then someone shared his summoner build...Thor sucked and noone touched him anymore becouse it was pointless, then yepso did the same with thor...
thor will get a nerv soon...becouse obviously its not good if the GOD OF THUNDER is powerfull, the loki nerv is hilerious becouse they take away the only thing which made him strong..and they just nerv it, and dont buff the rest of his skills...
(talking with the devs) There are a lot reasons why I think that gaz cant handle it that way anymore, there are 3 things which nailed it for me totally.
1) The disagree button is removed... once, the idea of that button was to get a feedback, now you obviously dont need that feedback anymore, and the forum is a place where everyone just is able to agree how awesome everything is,.. Thats a fake impresion for the comunity, and the only thing which will give you a feedback if your right or wrong is the nummber of players left...
2) the rediculess costs to reroll that medal, was my main reason to drop that game becouse its just insane if I need like 1 month to farm, just to get 1 ok roll for 1 hero... I have like 20 heroes I realy like to play, so the price-performance ratio is a no go and you dont get it. You want that we buy all the heroes you offer, but you want that we are waisting 12 month/years/lifetimes to gear a single one of them very well...whats the point?
§) You know, free to play, of course you need concepts which make sure that the player log in everyday, of course you want that a person is bussy the next 2 month with this and that, but your mecanics to make sure that this is certain, are heavy exaggerated
Wow as an example, they just earn money if the player buys playtime every month again, so they have equal mecanics to make sure that this happens... you need long to farm gold, gear, you need much time to farm mats, and so on, a short version would be: you get more if you log in everyday and play a few hours, and as i said thats wanted and thats equal mecanics like mh has, every online game need this elements to work well...
One of your elements to make sure that players have a reason to log in, is the gear progress, find a better unique, get a better art, and so on...
The gaz politik in that case is deep serious exaggerated....
you can play a hero like 20-60 days and your gear still is not "as best as posible (show me a hero who has every single slot with a 100% roll), and the gaz philosophie is, it was never our intention that the players use 100% rolls, and if they do they shouldnt get it easy...
Getting a 100% roll... We talk about a 0,00000001% chance to get stuff like that, i made that calculation once, i probibly should add a few zeros...you dont want that we use good rolled gear... I dont like it, and it forces us to use Compromise rooled gear in a lot of cases...
I Made a suggestion once that you could improve gear and arts with mats, every day just 1-2-3 points gear mprovement...like add 1-3 damage rating (until 100%) add % to the proc chance, and + 1 to a skill (allways until it is maxed)...
people would have a reason to log in, to farm theese mats, to play the game, but it never got a chance becouse YOU DONT WANT THAT WE USE GOOD GEAR...and that is a setting which makes it imposible for me, to agree with your philosophie, @BlueKaiser played this game with hawkeye 66 days... not one of his slot 1-5 is a 100% roll, but thats actualy exactly what he deserves...
A long story short, time to quit the game... I will come back if you have a 10.000 player base, a reroll medal recipe and a fair way to get gear improvements...!
