The Civil War event is great... for new players. For veterans of the game, it sadly brought nothing.
The thing that is troubling was that there was no reason it had to be that way. Why was the new Cosmic mode geared to low-middle tier instead of to the high end player base? Why have two modes at all if both are easily trumped by the same group of players?
Gaz, please. All you have to do is release two accessible areas for such an event. One for new and low-end players, and another for the max omega max geared players.
I love your game, but you are steering it in an odd direction. Do not make it so that players can outlevel content by huge margins. What is the point if there is not another challenge on the horizon? There should be something now that challenges the top end players, and currently there is nothing. Danger Room was nice, but then you raised the Omega cap. Now its challenge is gone.
If you focus only on new players, your old ones will leave. If you want a revolving door of players and think that is a more sustainable model of development, then I guess just ignore this post.
