My opinion is staggered content should not happen. In the homepage this event is advertised as the biggest ever and its a truly special event. To me this means each and every week. A 2 minute "terminal" is neither a big event or special. Being told, wait tell next week, wait tell next week. Meaning, this event is not special.
I seem to always make posts about events like this. Last year the anniversary was the same, 3 weeks of bleh, and then the last week was what all previous weeks should be.
I don't understand why staggered content is the go to for these big events? Your trying to artificially make people play the game longer. But does that work? I know i was SUPER excited to play this weekend, but then i logged in did the crossbones terminal, and that was it. Nothing new or special. TWO minutes of game play.
I wanted to buy costumes, BUT even those are staggered. WHY? My hype after watching the Civil War movie was so high i was excited to buy the costumes. I don't want all the costumes, only a couple. But the only available way is to spend 60-100$. I am happy to spend 10-20$ here and there, but not 100$.
This type of events make me want to spend less, and spend money on other games and not this. Release all content for each week.
Does anyone else feel this way?
