This is my first post, because I feel passionate about this.
First off, this is a nice game. I enjoy it. Great job.
Okay, I love Beta Ray Bill.
Not in that manner, but it's my favorite character of Marvel, even more than Spider-man or Surfer, or Dormammu.
Anyway, I'm glad he was added to the game. Except he's just a skin.
I'd like to ask if he could he be his own character.
I read another post about this and it was said that it wasn't going to happen because he is simply a Thor clone.
He would be too similar.
But I disagree, completely.
My reasons why:
There are many skins in this game, but I see a difference.
For example, there are different Ant men, but they are eventually still Ant-man. Miles Morales still carries the title of Spider-man, just in another universe. The same goes for Nova or Cpt Marvel. They all have different names, but carry the same title of that hero.
Even Shuri, she is still a Black Panther. Alejandra is still Ghost Rider.
You get the idea.
Eric Masterson, Jane Foster, Odinson, are all Thor, but Beta Ray Bill, is Beta Ray Bill, he is not Thor.
The difference between these skins is Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. Even in the Omega node it's acknowledged.
Whenever I see Beta Ray among the other skins I feel he doesn't belong.
Feels like he's being treated unjustly.
Anyway, as for his skills, now is exactly why it would make sense seeing as there will be a revamp of powers.
Why not now. He could have the same powers, he could be slightly different, I don't really care. As long as he's an independent character.
Thor could have his usual blue lighting and give Billnote a golden lightning like he had on his adventures with Sam Alexander.
Plus he doesn't have 1 outfit, he has worn many. He can even get a battle-damaged costume, because I'm almost
guaranteed he's a fierce warrior (he jumped into the star and got skorched).
Anyway, I feel it makes sense.
If there will be a Mjolnir and Jarnbjorn item in the game still, let there be a Stormbreaker.
Reasons why I feel it might not happen:
I get the feeling he's not popular. No one would buy him, and no money would be made off the hard work that was put into developing him. I even tried changing my profile pick to Beta Ray, but there is none.
It kinda sucks, but this is my guess.
But is this true? What's the real reason he (maybe) will not be an actual character and not just a skin?
If it doesn't happen it's fine, but I thought I'd give it a try since all heroes are being remade, I felt it's a good time to ask.
