-Wall of Text Alert-
I've been playing Marvel Heroes for a while now and a lot have changed since. Some good changes some not so good changes and soon we are having a HUGE change.
Back in the day this game used to be a LOT harder, for example: We couldn't reset our skills freely, we had to choose our build VERY carefully. Sprint skills cost spirit and were infinite times slower.
Other things such craft material were more complex (fusing them, breaking them into smaller pieces, etc.) and took a lot of space into our inventory. The drop rate of Unstable Molecules and Unbinding Matrix were the minimum - now i have a stack of 100+ and 500+ respectively. Drop rates in general are better, uniques are kinda easy to farm...
For me, at this point of the game (with synergy exp bonus at the cap, 7k+ omega point, etc.), it takes less than an hour to get a hero from level 1 to 60 using only exp potions obtained from story mode and events. This is the easiest game to level up i have ever played and i usually really enjoy this process.
Next update will turn medkits into a devoted button (saving inventory slots) and our skills will be always maximized (scaling with level).
I mean... i am not complaining about these things in general, i am just worried that the game becomes boring because it is too easy. MMORPG's need some dose of frustration to function and have players dedicating themselves to get stronger and stronger. Our only dedication in Marvel Heroes is to reroll equips for better affixes or cosmic prestige someone (this is a REAL challenge btw). Achievements are also challenging for people interested in them - or at least in gambit's costume. I get that the Infinity System should work in this sense of always having something that can get you stronger but i don't think this will be enough to get one's going on and on at endgame.
ps.:At title of curiosity: The thing that keeps me playing is the free default costume you get when prestige so i can try my luck in the crafter.
Not trying to rain in anyone's parade here, but i think things are more interesting with real challenges. Penalties for dying, maps that are mazes (like Hydra Island terminal - I always get lost in there), even Mini-bosses or bosses blocking portals (Pyro and Skrulls, for example) bring some challenge to the game and keeps things interesting.
I hope that Personal Difficult stuff bring back this missing element of difficult to the game. :)
What do you guys and gals think?
