Seeing as how items are 'changing', can we please for the love of all that is holy...

...get back to normalized base stats?!?

A couple of years ago, Gaz decided that it would 'improve' the loot hunt by making the base (white) stats on gear drop in a randomized range. It used to be that a piece of gear at lvl 60 would always have the same stat.

Example:

Bracelets for Storm at lvl 60 would always have a base damage stat of 688 (or whatever) with Uniques being generally higher. Then, they made it so that these same bracelets would now have a range of between 530 and 700 (or whatever).

This drove me up a wall. Why? Because it meant that not only were the affixes I was looking for random, but now my damage rating was gonna get the bloody RNG treatment as well. I may find gear with beautiful affixes but my damage rating would suffer.

It did NOT improve the loot hunt as far as I'm concerned and only meant that I would from that point on stop hunting for better gear. With upwards of now 7 stats subject to RNG it made gear hunting, a once worthwhile exercise, just an exercise in frustration.

This seems, to me, to be the perfect time to correct this very, very bad decision by Gaz.
