Why is this important? Simple: The SHIELD Male + Female model is the most used model in the whole game. We see them in almost all the hubs, and we even have a Team-Up for it. And since we got an unnanouced upgrade for Maggia and Thugs, I don't see why they can't do it for SHIELD models.
This is the Team-up model, which is the same or almost the same as all SHIELD models.
This, in theory, should be a no brainer. Gaz already missed the chance to do this for the SHIELD vs HYDRA event, but there's one more chance: Nick Fury.
I'm guessing Nick Fury will be a summoner right? Then he'll probably summon some SHIELD Agents, along with maybe Maria Hill (which is present for a big part of the Story Mode). These are the old, plastic-like models, from 2012:

SHIELD Agent Team-Up
- Several Story Mode missions, including tutorials, first chapters and end chapters
- A ton of procs from a ton of items, like legendaries, insignias, uniques (maybe, can't recall)
- Better-looking Ultimates for Black Widow and probably Nick Fury
Overall, it will be a big graphic improvement, and they're just TWO models. It's surprising other mobs like Thugs and Maggia got a VU before them.
