Have there been any characters that were announced that you knew you had to have? Like, even if Gaz dropped the ball and they released terrible you knew you had to have them, just because they were that particular character? And are there any other characters that Gaz could add that would equally be must-haves for you?
For me? Magneto, Doom and Vision were all must-haves. I've always liked Magneto as a "grey" villain and "darker grey" hero. He's one of my Marvel faves. Doom is probably my favorite villain, period. Even going past Marvel... I mean, he's the guy that inspired Darth Freaking Vader for Pete's sake. And Vision has just always struck me as an interesting character. Nice guy, struggling with his nature with some pretty awesome and intriguing powers.
Beast is on the way, and he's also a must-have. Always liked pretty much everything about the character. No matter what Gaz does with him, I basically need him in my roster.
For possible characters that Gaz could make which I'd buy regardless of anything, well... Blink tops the list. Favorite Marvel character overall, from my favorite book (Exiles) and by favorite event (Age of Apocalypse). And Namor comes to mind, simply because he's so badass he still manages to be baddass despite his iconic costume being a green speedo, and him having hilarious little wings on his ankles... also bonus points for being Marvel's first hero, and the first real superhero anti-hero. Too bad about potential rights issues, but if those ever sort out, and Gaz does the Submariner... yeah, he's on my short list. There's probably more that could be filed here too, but those are the ones that immediately come to mind.
