A Big Shout Out to @SamuRonX for giving me the inspirational quote (and thread title): Playing this game is like nookie. if you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.
At it's heart, MH 2016 is a game for casual gamers who want to have fun playing a Marvel Super Hero. That's not to say that there are No "hard core" gamers in this game, because there are some very committed players in this game. However, the core game is not really built around the needs of the "hard core" player base which is relatively small (around 2% of the player base). That's why we don't see Gazillon focusing alot of it's developmental resources on launching new raid content.
Instead, Gazillon has focused its game development resources on creating new Super Heroes (50+ Heroes) , new in Game Events (Civil War, Limbo, Anniversaries, etc), and continued improvements on the basic game mechanics.
As a member of the casual MH gamer community and Marvel comic book fan, I think Gazillon has done a wonderful job of creating a fun, interesting, and dynamic game for people like me!
I am looking forward to more great content, new Interesting Heroes, and improve game mechanics like these things mentioned by @Baku
From what I have gathered about future [less secret] updates in near to less near future:
Big QoL wave / Balance patch
Medkit rework - no longer an item
Warderobe so costumes don't take stash space [but still start as tokens so dupes or unwanted can be blended]
Material Passes for enemies and heroes.
Continued rework of the story mode [seen on TC with chapter 1]
Cosmic Story Mode- which with the rework of the story will be amazing synergy.
To end, What really motivates me to log into MH 2016?
Three things really:
1: Are there new heroes for me to discover? "Are my older MH heroes getting a fresh new design and a fresh new update? (aka She- Hulk, Rogue, Nova, Black Cat, Angela, etc)
2: Are there new game content that I want to play?", "Are there new rewarding events I want to play (aka. Civil War and Limbo, the DareDevil Special Event, Skrull Invasion, etc).
3: Are there game mechanics improvements or new environments for me to explore? (ie. blessings change, new Omega powers branch, new level cap, the new Zoo zone, etc)
Thanks to @Lace for a great post about why she likes to log into this game (very similar to my response).
