I am sure many players can see this: 2s of invulnerability every 10 sec is a problem for the game. It makes the devs relly on very high spike damage to make up for that 20% time invulnerable that everyone has. The way I see it: just like blessings were not having any diminushing returns before their change, 2 sec of invuln has no diminushing returns either. It is always going to be the top choice, above every thing else.
So would it be a good thing to remove it ?
I believe it would. It would make the difficulty of the content easier to manage because game mechanics could not be simply ignored anymore. In a perfect world, I think this change should be made before the introduction of the difficulty slider. This would allow the "new" difficulties to be adapted to that big change. Also, Gaz seems to expect a lot of new players (from some console launch ?). Removing the invuln before new players arrive would be a good thing.
Obvious thought: tons of player would cry for their core they paid a huge amount for.
Second obvious thought: damage would have to be tuned differentely than it actually is.
