The contrast from yesterday to today is significant. Yesterday, I couldn't go far without hitting multiple mob types, however today, I can barely find any mobs at all. I'd make a video if it weren't so time consuming to upload it on my connection, but all you have to do is cruise around Midtown right now.
Is this intended?
