Okay, before I begin, I will probably be "strung up" and or "drawn and quartered" for this suggestion and mini rant but I will try to explain this as eloquently as I can. I am prepared for the mass onslaught.
And no I'm not trolling. Legit post.
I have been playing this game faithfully for like 2 years. And enjoy it immensely. I have read comics for like 20+ years since I could learn to read. So playing my fav heroes is really cool experience. The developers of this game have done a miraculous job, in my opinion.
I have never played a PC online based game like this ever, not even WOW. This is my first foray into this whole experience.
So, I had to learn all the "lingo" and all the fundamentals from scratch. It's been quite a ride and through youtube tutorials from the likes of Wilfrid Wong and cool people in the chat. Very helpful.
But i can't help but be a little taken back at times when in the forums, it's a constant barrage of dare I say whining and complaining. My Gawd, the negativity. At times I feel like I am the only one who plays for the pure enjoyment. Granted, there could be some minor tweaks and fixes but I guess that comes with the territory of technology. I work in the Health Care field in Canada, believe me when I say that's a whole hot mess in it self. This is the one game I enjoy and it's my escape from the stresses of the world. It's a mixed up world we live in. Why do people bring their problems into a "GAME" I'll never know.
As I am not a designer or coder or programmer, this suggestion is purely coming from a standpoint of a gamer for the sole purpose of entertainment.
Would it help if the Devs "shut this game down" for a period of time? Yes, I really asked that._ Hear me out, please.
To work on the "improvements" that post after infinite post states that's needed. _
I mean no matter what they do to fix with patch after patch nobody is ever truly satisfied. They even give us free stuff for crying out loud from time to time.Yet people aren't satisfied.
I see a lot of players going on about how this game is going down the toilet, coming to an end, fix this and fix that.
I may be alone in this opinion but it needs to be said.
Can this be done and would it help? It doesn't have to be long. Peoples heads would probably explode if it's more than 24 hours. Hell, just read the mass posts on "server crash" and lag and I can't logon..yikes.
And at times I wonder if the Devs and Gazillion lose their minds, when the forums are filled with those that have that sense of entitlement going on. Must I need to go into detail cause all you have to do is logon in the forums in the morning and practically spit out my coffee. And shake my head in disbelief. It's a very negative world we live in, I get it. But it is a game after all...people. They are the ones trying to catch Pokemon, after they post" how much longer devs do we have to wait for patch to complete"?
Don't get me wrong...There are some great people on the forums and I'm not painting them all with the same brush, but you must agree with said statements. Nobody just says it.
Well that's my opinion, I do live in Canada where freedom of speech exists...lol. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Would it help to shut down and come back stronger? Like I said I don't have a degree in computer programming and development, but a degree in medicine.
Is it possible?
Can this be done?
After all I do realize I been on here for like 2 years and their are those that have been here since beta and are far more qualified than me. Respect to those.
