A Blessing Review (ideas for a blessing rework)

So since Hela blessings and the rest are the current hot topic on the forum, I thought I would add my voice to it. A long time ago I had created a similar thread in the items and crafting sub-forum, but it seems to have long since disappeared.

Before I begin talking, I want to let you all know that I am mathematically challenged (not literally, I'm just terrible at math and have no use for anything that involves Algebra and beyond). So I will be giving information in simple terms or in the way that I understand it.

So, Hela blessings if I recall are the only thing in game that gives you an actual 5% of something. If an item has 5% attack speed you only actually get like 1.5% attack speed or something like that because of diminishing returns. 3% defense on the Volstagg blessings doesn't actually raise your defense up 3%, it only gives you like 100-150 actual defense, same with the Fandral, Hogun, and Balder blessings.

But Hela, a Hela blessing will raise your brutal strike rating from 30% to 35%. That is actually 5% and it's not lying to you like attack speed or the Volstagg blessings do. A Volstagg blessing does not raise your defense from 40% to 43%.

If you ask me, getting 20% brutal strike rating from four blessings is pretty amazing. It takes a bunch of other gear as well as a passive ability to get to about 25-35% depending on the character. I think that Hela blessings are too powerful. Rather than adding a solid 5% per blessing, I suggest adding actual numbers to it, and not as much that would give you 20% brutal strike rating with four of them. Hela blessings right now only adds to the power creep. It's much easier now than it was a year ago to get brutal strike rating.

Having all of these percentages on blessings is misleading. Replacing the percentages with actual numbers would be much easier to understand.

I want all of the blessings to be worth 100 Odin marks and for them to be hard to choose from.

I also think that giving each blessing offensive stats will make them more competitive with Hela, save for Volstagg.

Let me know if you would use a blessing other than Hela if changes like this took place.
