Biography


Cletus Kasady is one hell of a guy. An exceptionally dangerous serial killer, his childhood was marked with violence, torture, and death. The way he tells it, his father killed his mother, sending Lil’ Kasady to the St. Estes Home for Boys. He would later burn that orphanage down.

Eventually, Kasady was convicted of eleven life sentences for murder and made to share a cell with none other than Eddie Brock himself. Kasady grew jealous of the Venom symbiote that Brock had once possessed. When that symbiote arrived to break Brock out of prison by way of a destructive jailbreak, it left behind a spawn. That spawn bonded with Kasady to produce... Carnage.

Carnage would go on to ravage and murder his way across New York City, fighting against Spider-Man, his “father” Venom, and the Fantastic Four. Collectively, they were able to restrain him and imprison Kasady in Ravencroft Asylum. There, he met up with his “wife” Francis Barrison, the mutant known as Shriek.

Eventually the Carnage symbiote gave birth to another, which came to refer to itself as Toxin when it bonded to NYPD cop Patrick Mulligan. Venom insisted that it stay alive to continue the symbiotic line, but Carnage was horrified and felt threatened by its existence.

At some point, the Sentry also ripped Carnage apart. So, that happened. Carnage drifted in space for almost a year before he was picked up by a satellite owned and operated by the Hall Corporation. As the Sentry had separated Carnage from his lower body, the Hall Corporation opted to outfit Kasady with cybernetic legs. These legs had been specially constructed to emulate the symbiote.

It is the AXIS event, however, which most defines Carnage for the purposes of this game. During that event, the moral axes of countless heroes and villains were subverted. Carnage thus pursued being a good guy for a change. He... wasn’t very good at it. At one point he set fire to a bank so that no one could rob it. But his heart was in the right place. Ish.

The point is, Carnage can be playable by taking him from this exact point in time, a la his Team-Up. During AXIS, he’s on the side of the angels. That is enough.

Helicopter Hurl [Ranged, Area]: Level 32
Extend a crimson tendril into the sky, impaling a passing helicopter. Bring it down on your enemies for all kinds of carnage!
