Please make the strike warning graphics optional - where's the challenge?

Ever since the latest patch, every single blow by the enemies is now telegraphed with a graphic :-/ :-q

I don't feel like a hero anymore; I feel like my mom is saying to me, "Who's my cute little hero? Now you go outside and 'fight crime', but remember the other kids aren't allowed to hit you while you are playing, OK." It's like I am in kindergarten and getting a participation ribbon for being a hero.

I understand the value of the graphic warnings for new players; but I was used to seeing some of the enemies wind up for a blow and sometimes I could dodge in time, other times not ... Or I could decide I wanted to deliver a big hit myself so I would stand in and take the blow that came after ... Or I could have wound up for my big punch and have given up the chance to dodge their blow in return ... I.e. there was a style to fighting and consequences to how I played out a fight.

It's not a fight or a challenge if the enemy is prevented from delivering a big hit.

Now I feel like a special-needs hero who wants to fight crime like everyone else, but the villains look at me and make comical wind-ups so they don't have to feel bad if they hurt me. ;)

With everything being forecasted and telegraphed, where is the skill in trying to dodge? or in a stick-and move style? or in knowing when to trade blows and when to just get out of the way and recover?

Gone is the skill and stakes of the fight, bring it back - make the graphics optional.
