Alright people, time for another Patented @lesotheron Wall O' Text. I'll warn you now, there's no TL;DR. If you're not willing to read this, you're better off just hitting the Back button and forgetting that this topic exists.
Marvel Heroes 3rd Anniversary is right around the corner and there's a few topics about things people would like to see. I've seen some fun ideas but, being me, I don't think they go far enough. So, I'm going to detail my completely unrealistic, but highly desired thoughts on what I want the 3rd Anniversary to be. Whether or not you agree with my ideas, I invite everyone to share their thoughts on what would make this the best Anniversary Event ever.
Assuming a 4-week Event:
Week 1 - Start it off light. Give us the actual Anniversary Event with Cake Slice Drops and a 50% Bonus to XP/RIF/SIF. To make things interesting, add Cosmic Chaos and Fortune Favors You so we can collect Worldstones and have a sale on Fortune Cards.
Week 2 - Let's build it up. Keep the Anniversary Event, Cosmic Chaos and Fortune Favors You Event running and throw on the A.R.M.O.R. Event and Cowpocalypse to give us A.R.M.O.R. Drives and Cow King Portals. Increase the XP/RIF/SIF Bonus to 100% and add in a 50% off Costumes sale to keep the Gs flowing.
Week 3 - It's starting to get crazy. Now we've got Anniversary Event, Cosmic Chaos, Fortune Favors You, A.R.M.O.R., Cowpocalypse and a 50% off Costumes sale running. Let's add Mystic Mayhem, Odin's Bounty, Operation OMEGA, release Ultron and add a 50% off Heroes sale (not including the newly released Ultron, of course). Keep the 100% Bonus to XP/RIF/SIF, but allow OMEGA's stacking 24% Bonus to build on it.
Week 4 - The Crescendo. Now that almost everything is running all at once, what is there left to do? Let's go all out! Throw on Midtown Madness all week. Bring back the Danger Room Tournament. Drop a 50% off Team Ups Sale. Give out Daily Giftboxes that give Cube Shards/Eternity Splinters/Random Visual Artifacts. Bring back every single item that has ever been for sale, including all the different kinds of Mystery Boxes, Chase Costumes, Variant Costumes, Holiday Costumes, Headpool, every Boost and Fortune Card. Give away any free Team-Up/Pet/Artifact that was only available for a limited time (Holiday Groot, Festivus Pole, Doctor Doom Classic Team-Up, Potted Groot, Holiday H.E.R.B.I.E., Itty Bitty Ice Golem, Iron Man Mk 2 and any I may not be remembering). Keep the 100% Bonus XP/RIF/SIF plus whatever Operation OMEGA was able to get it to, then let OMEGA keep building so the last week has some truly ridiculous numbers!
By the end of the month, I can picture many players being deeply in debt with the amount of Gs they purchased...and not regretting a single dime of it. I'd call that a win-win for everyone. Gaz makes money, hand-over-fist and we work ourselves into an absolute FRENZY buying lots of stuff and then using it in-game to go completely Nutso! :))
