Do we really value ten stacks of one more than one stack of ten?

This event has brought out the realisation that I personally don't. In theory, the reason we see stuff like ten different drops of tokens is to provide the sense of getting more.

But what do people feel about it in practice? I admit when it comes to stuff like splinters and relics (when I cared about relics dropping), it works for me. I like seeing a double splinter drop, more than I would seeing a label that says Eternity Splinter (2).

However, it doesn't automatically follow that you can just apply the same to all loot, and tokens/seals are the worst example of this. If I want to take the tokens, it can be around 30 clicks just to get them all; if I don't care about them, they just lay there obscuring everything else. Honestly, it feels like I'm picking up wisdom scrolls if you've ever played PoE.

I don't imagine it's just me, but what do people think about the whole "one stack = one item" as a rule?
